“One of you will be hanged, the second imprisoned, the third burned and the fourth turned upside down.” This is how the children mocked the family of storks that lived on the roof. This frightened the chicks and, to reassure them, their mother spoke of the long journey they would soon take. And, who knows, perhaps one day they would have their revenge on the little tyrants who mocked them in their nest.
This one is the first story written by Hans Christian Andersen which ive read. And I gotta say that I loved it.
This story have something unique about it, which really makes it to stand out.
The moral of the story is great but of course I won’t ruin the fun for people who haven’t read this one with spoiler talk.
Some people after reading this short story might say that storks are malicious or evil but the real bad guys in this story are humans as they always are.
This story is very short and can be read in 5 minutes at the very worse.
The writing style here is very easy but at the same its very thick in old English.
