10-Page Preview! At the end of the 19th Century two men, Edgar Poe and Howard Phillips, will find themselves in the middle of mysterious adventures as Investigators of Paranormal Affairs. The two will discover mysterious coins that have the power to revive an emperor and his demonic army. It is up to Poe and Phillips to secure these coins lest they fall into the wrong hands and usher in the end of the world!

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

This preview sets up an intriguing tale, blending elements of mystery and historical fiction with a touch of the supernatural. Which I personally found to be very fun and inserting. 

The narrative of this preview is well-paced and successfully creates suspense, which really got me interested in buying and reading the full version of this comic book. Because I found the concept of pairing iconic literary figures in a shared adventure to be both clever and captivating.

The characters of Poe and Phillips are introduced with depth and distinct personalities. Which really made me give this preview some extra points for having. Their dynamic is intriguing, and the preview hints at rich backstories and motivations. This solid character foundation promises further development in the full version of this comic book. Which really makes me look forward to reading the full version of this comic book.

The artwork in this preview complements the story beautifully, capturing the eerie and mysterious tone with detailed and evocative illustrations. The artwork in this preview really enhances the narrative, immersing me personally in the atmospheric setting and bringing the world to life.

Themes of mystery, friendship, and the supernatural are woven into the narrative, adding layers of depth and intrigue. These themes are effectively presented, offering both entertainment and substance. Which really made me also give this preview some extra points for doing very well.

So will buy and read the full version of this comic book ? Yes I will. It might take some time for me to actually read the full version of this comic book because I have been way too optimistic when creating my TBR list for this year and I don’t know if I get the time to read the full version of this comic book this year. But I will read the full version of this comic book at some point in time.
