“The Pumpkin Spice Café” By Laurie Gilmore Review

When Jeanie’s aunt gifts her the beloved Pumpkin Spice Café in the small town of Dream Harbor, Jeanie jumps at the chance for a fresh start away from her very dull desk job. Logan is a local farmer who avoids Dream Harbor’s gossip at all costs. But Jeanie’s arrival disrupts Logan’s routine and he wants nothing to do with the irritatingly upbeat new girl, except that he finds himself inexplicably drawn to her. Will Jeanie’s happy-go-lucky attitude win over the grumpy-but-gorgeous Logan, or has this city girl found the one person in town who won’t fall for her charm, or her pumpkin spice lattes.

I have to start with this interview by saying that I was very skeptical about this book and the whole series in general before getting into it. Because I thought it would be one of those very overhyped books and series that would appear on my BookTok feed. But after finishing this book I need to admit that I had really much liked this book and am very interested in reading the rest of this series.

The plot in this book is very cheesy but also very very cozy. Even thou I’m not a huge fan of romance books I kinda admit that I really liked the plot in this book. There was something about it which made me very interested and engaged in the plot even thou its not my usual read.

The reason why I say this book is a cozy read is because the plot in this book is very sweet, endearing and funny which makes it a perfect autumn where you can sit infant of a fireplace wrapped in a blanket and read a sweet and funny book. Which this book is easily is in my opinion.

The plot in this book is very simple and easy going, which makes it a perfect read if you don’t want to use a lot of brain power while reading a book. The plot is very interesting and enjoyable. And as I’ve said above the plot in this book is very cozy where all you want to do is chill in a comfy chair and read all day.

I personally liked the plot of this book so much as I does, because my all time biggest dream is to own my own coffee shop at some point in my life. And the fact that this book is about jeanie who’s aunt gifts her with a coffee shop.

The characters in this book were very good. Because they felt like real human beings which I would have no problem becoming best friends with in real life. All of the characters we get in this book are written very well and I had no problem at all in loving the characters in this book.

Each of the characters we get in this book, have their own personalities and something that makes them unique and stand out from the rest of the characters in this book.

The writing style in this book is very simple and easy going. Which really goes well together with the plot. Both the writing style and storyline in this book are very straightforward and you don’t need to use a lot of brain power while reading this book to enjoy it.

I Give This Book 4 / 5

“Edge of Doom #1” By Steve Niles & Kelley Jones Review

Discover the true meaning of terror as fright-masters Steve Niles and Kelley Jones bring this all-new series to life! In this issue, we watch as a very sad and lonely man reaches the end of his rope, only to discover he’s in way deeper than he ever imagined. It seems there’s an army of little demons in his garden, and he’s their next sacrifice!

This comic book has a huge dark and atmospheric dive into horror which I found to be very enjoyable and fun which worked for this book advantage.

This comic book has a very moody, suspenseful narrative that slowly unravels a mysterious and eerie world filled with secrets and supernatural tension.

The pacing in this comic book is deliberate, allowing the story to build a palpable sense of dread without relying on cheap scares.

The artwork in this comic book is a standout, perfectly complementing the storytelling of this comic book while adding a signature gothic style to this comic book.

The heavy shadows, haunting character designs, and intricate details which this comic book has, has create an unsettling atmosphere that lingers long after the page is turned.

The visuals of this comic book does an excellent job of evoking classic horror vibes while feeling fresh and engaging.

However the thing which I didn’t like about this comic book is the story in this comic book tends to be on the slower side when it comes to developing the storyline into something more than just being a forgetful storyline which readers will forgot when they finish this comic book.

“Rozdroże kruków” By Andrzej Sapkowski Review

Oto słowa Proroka: zaprawdę powiadam wam, że nastanie chaos w wielu miejscach i ogień często będzie wybuchał. Słońce rozjaśni się w nocy, a księżyc w ciągu dnia, gwiazdy zaś zaczną spadać. Krew będzie ciec z drzewa, a kamień wyda głos. Dzikie bestie będą atakować, a niewiasty brzemienne będą rodzić potwory. I oto sprawdziło się proroctwo i oczom naszym stało się ono widome: niewiasty porodziły potwory. Wiedźmini są tymi potworami, heroldami chaosu i zguby.

At the time of writing this review, this book is only available in polish but I’ve seen that this book will be available for purchase in English on September 30th 2025 so by the end of this month. With that being said lets get into the review of this new Witcher book.

As some of you might know I’m a huge fan of The Witcher book series, so when I’ve heard this book was published I knew that I needed to read this book. This book takes place way before “season of storms” and “the last wish” in the series. The action takes place shortly after Gerald leaves Kaer Morhen and tries to make his way around the world of the Witcher universe as a young and new Witcher. I cant say much more than that without spoiling anything which will take place in the plot of this book.

The plot in this book its very interesting and enjoyable. From the very moment I started reading this book I was completely clued to the book and I had a very hard time closing it if I needed to do something else than sitting on my bean bag and read this amazing book.

I completely love this book, not because it was better than the other books in the series but because the last time I read a book in the series was in 2023 so over 2 years ago. And when I was reading this book I had the huge feeling of nostalgia of reading the entire series for the first time and not appreciating it fully back then as I do now. Back then I said that the series was okay fantasy read or something similar to that, but now I completely love the entire series and the entire series is easily my second favorite book series right after “a song of ice and fire” book series. I love this series so much that it is even above the Harry Potter book series which I love to death. But back to reviewing this book.

We get quite a handful of characters in this book. But all of them were incredible characters which I loved a lot even those once which I disliked because they were the “villains” of this book.

This book gives us a lot of incredible characters which are very likable and memorable. Which mad emerges give this book some extra points for having.

Even Gerald in this book seemed an amazing character, even better than in the other books in this series. Because we get to learn more about the earlier days of him being out of the Kaer Morhen and out in the world as a new and young Witcher. In this book we get a lot of Gerald’s backstory which gives the entire series more depth.

At the same time we get to know more of the characters in the series, which only add more to the overall series in my opinion at the very least.

The writing style in this book was amazing, because it was like the author of this book knew exactly what words to use to complete grab my attention and to not let it go until the very end of this book. Even when I wasn’t reading this book I was constantly thinking about what would happen next in this book, which really shows how much I was sucked into this book.

As I’ve said above this book isn’t the best book in this series, it is pretty average but the reason why I give this book 4 out of 5 is because of the nostalgia I had for returning to the book series.

The only thing I didn’t like about this book is the fact that I didn’t want it to end. The last time I read a Witcher book was in 2023 when I finished reading the entire series, so now that we got this new book out I didn’t want it to end.

The artwork enhance the playful tone and keep the energy flowing throughout the story.

I need to admit that this comic book is less enjoyable than the previous comic book in the series I’ve read but this comic book is still fun and interesting. So easily I will keep reading this comic book series. Because I find to be very interesting and very enjoyable.

This comic book is a very delightful and engaging read. Which successfully captures the adventurous spirit of the Scratch9 series which I personally heard a lot of good things about.

The creators of this comic book made it a really fun read which has also a fast-paced story that have made me interested in reading the whole series. At the same time this comic book offers us enough charm and wit to appeal to longtime fans.

The narrative of this comic book balances humor, action, and heart. Which makes this comic book a well-rounded and enjoyable comic book which has gotten me sucked into this series which I will continue reading at some point in the future.

The artwork in this comic book is very vibrant and expressive. The artwork perfectly complementing the playful tone of the story.

The characters in this comic book feel very lively and well created which made me give this comic book extra points for doing.

The action sequences flow smoothly across the panels, keeping the momentum going throughout the issue.

In my opinion this comic book does an excellent job of introducing Scratch9’s unique world and personality without feeling rushed or incomplete. It left me personally with eagerness to dive deeper into the series

“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” By F. Scott Fitzgerald Review

In 1860 Benjamin Button is born an old man and mysteriously begins aging backward. At the beginning of his life he is withered and worn, but as he continues to grow younger he embraces life — he goes to war, runs a business, falls in love, has children, goes to college and prep school, and, as his mind begins to devolve, he attends kindergarten and eventually returns to the care of his nurse.

I gotta admit here that the only reason why I read this book is because I’ve read a lot of good things about it on the Internet and I just thought that this book was just one of the way overhyped books which I read in my time. But after I read this book I gotta admit that it is pretty good after all, and of course I will explain everything in this review. So if you are interested in hearing my thoughts about this book then keep reading.

As some of you might know if you have been sticking around my website for a while, I’m a huge F. Scott Fitzgerald fan after reading for the first time “The Great Gatsby”. So of course I needed to read this book at some point in my life. And im very happy that I finally read this book.

The plot of this book is very interesting and enjoyable. Because as many of you would know the plot in this book is abut a guy who is born old, and as he grows older he becomes younger. Which had really fascinated me a lot because it is very unique plot and it was very well written.

The story in this book was very well written, at the same time it is also very fun and intriguing to read to follow this guy who ages backwards. Yes this book was a little bit quirky but in my opinion thats what made this book extra good.

However the story in this book doesn’t go into a lot of details which really annoyed me personally, because I really wished that it would have gone into more details at times because it would have made this whole story so much better at times.

The writing style in this book is incredible, because it was like the author knew exactly how to present the storyline to get me completely obsessed and hooked on the plot.

The writing style in this book is very straightforwards and doesn’t use a lot of unnecessary words to describe things which really made me really glad. Because I’ve come across a lot of classic books where the authors used war too many words to describe things which made the story unbearable long and boring. Which this books avoids doing which really made me very happy and love this story even more than I already did,

The characters in this book were very good. Yes we had very few characters in this book but the once we got in this book were very well written and created. Because the characters felt like real human being with real emotions and thoughts which made it very easy for me to like them and relate to them.

It could be just my opinion but I think that F. Scott Fitzgerald is incredible on writing very amazing characters which makes me always love the characters in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s books.

The only downside this book had in my opinion was the length. This book could have been easily longer and go into more detail about things this book talks about just because I couldn’t get enough of this book and I really wanted to learn more about the main character, the side characters and the whole plot.

SPECIAL 25-PAGE PREVIEW! Sylvia Mark wants to be just a normal girl. She can do without the nightmares that assail her nightly, the spurts of freakish strength that get her into trouble, and the group of shadowy strangers that have started following. Unfortunately, Sylvia is going to have to get used to all of these things.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And im gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

This preview introduces us to a fascinating narrative centered on a girl discovering she is one of 100 genetically engineered siblings. Which I found to be very interesting and unique to say at least. Which really made me give this preview some extra points for.

The concept of this preview feels pretty fresh and intriguing because it is blending elements of science fiction and mystery that immediately captured my attention and made me very interesting into being more of this comic book.

The storyline in this preview is pretty well-paced, providing a strong foundation for full version of this comic book which I will easily read at some point in the future.

The main character in this preview has a lot of personality to her but at the same time she has a lot of depth and relatability which is showcasing a blend of vulnerability and strength to her. Which really made me like her a lot.

The main character’s journey in this preview was very compelling because it involves a lot of self-discovery and growth to the main character.

The artwork in this preview complements the narrative with clean and expressive illustrations which really made me give this preview some extra points for doing.

The visuals in this preview effectively convey the emotional and action-packed elements of the story, enhancing the overall experience readers get from reading this preview in my opinion.

This preview gives us the themes of identity, belonging, and the ethics of genetic engineering which are amazing woven throughout this preview which add layers of depth to the narrative of this preview.

These themes are very well explored as well as they are providing both entertainment and thought-provoking storyline to this preview.

“Star Wars: Red Harvest” By Joe Schreiber Review

The era of the Old Republic is a dark and dangerous time, as Jedi Knights valiantly battle the Sith Lords and their ruthless armies. But the Sith have disturbing plans—and none more so than the fulfillment of Darth Scabrous’s fanatical dream, which is about to become nightmarish reality.

I gotta admit here that I didn’t have a lot of hopes for this book, but after reading it I gotta admit that I liked this book a lot because of how fun and interesting it was. But lets get into this review without making this into any longer than it already is.

The storyline in this book is very interesting and fun. I gotta admit that this book feels like a continuation of Death Troopers because of the things the storyline involves but which I cant say much about without giving away spoilers for people who haven’t read this book yet.

The event of this book take place at Sith Academy on the planet named Odacer-Faustin. And if you been around this website for a while you will know I am a sucker for star wars books which are written from Sith perspective. So this automatically was a big hit for me.

As Ive mentioned above the storyline is very interesting and fun. So much so that I read this book in one sitting because of how hooked I got into the plot. Which really made me give this book some extra points for doing.

The writing style in this book is amazing, because it feels like the author knew exactly what words to use to complete grab my attention and to not let it go until the very end of this book.

The writing style was very simple and easygoing. Which really made reading this book into a pleasure because it uses the every day language which means that everyone can read this book no matter if they are 10 years old, 25 years old or 60 years old.

At the same time this book adds a lot to the star wars universe because it talks about the Sith academy, how it functions, and where everything from the canteen is located, where the sleeping areas for the students are, where the teachers rooms are at and so on. Which really made me like this book even more because of all the info about the Sith academy we get in this book.

There is a lot of action in this book which really makes this book to a very fun and eventful read because of all the things which happen in this book which keeps you interested from start to finish.

In the days following the end of World War II, Sgt. Kane and his men are charged with finding and stopping a rogue band of Nazi intent on enacting a killing spree across the German countryside. When the Americans catch up to their target, they find themselves gravely outmatched.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

This preview sets the stage for a gripping narrative filled with espionage and suspense which got me hooked from the very beginning of this preview. Which made me give this preview some extra points for doing.

The concept of this preview is very engaging, because it had drawn me into the high-stakes world of assassins and secrets of this preview. Which I really liked a lot because it shows how much effort the creators of this preview had put into this preview.

The storyline in this preview is pretty well-paced. At the same time the storyline in this preview is providing enough tension and mystery to keep me hooked in the storyline of this preview which at the same time makes me want to read and full version of this comic book.

The characters in this preview are introduced to us with a lot of personalities, depth and complexity to them which really made me like the characters in this preview a lot.

The main characters in this preview is very good. Because he has a lot of personality and he is a very good and compelling main character.

The side characters in this preview add a lot of depth and layers to the storyline in this preview which really made me give this preview extra points for doing. Because it got me even more interested in reading the full version of this comic book.

“The Canterville Ghost” By Oscar Wilde Review

This is Oscar Wilde’s tale of the American family moved into a British mansion, Canterville Chase, much to the annoyance of its tired ghost. The family — which refuses to believe in him — is in Wilde’s way a commentary on the British nobility of the day — and on the Americans, too. The tale, like many of Wilde’s, is rich with allusion, but ends as sentimental romance.

I need to admit here that I’ve heard a lot of good about this book, and this book has been on my TBR list for a few years now. And I finally read it. If you are curious about my thoughts when it comes to this book then keep reading.

I need to admit here that this book is very inserting and very fun to read because of how good the plot line in this book is. Which really made me love Oscar Wilde even more than I already did before reading this book. Is it just me or is there someone else who also love Oscar Wilde more and more with each book they read ?

The storyline in this book is very good and interesting which I already mentioned above. There is something about the storyline in this book which makes it feel very eerie but at the same time very funny. Which I really liked and which made me give this book some extra points for doing.

The storyline in this book is more or less a victorian ghost story which I loved a lot. Because I personally love a lot any victorian story because every story set in the victorian era seems so fun and interesting to me.

This book involves a lot of mystery, suspense, horror and romance which I found to love in this book because of how well Oscar Wilde made this book and story.

The writing style in this book is very good, because it was like the author knew exactly what words to use to completely grab my attention and to not let it go until the very end of this book.

The characters in this book are very good and very likable. All of the characters in this book have a lot of personalities to them and something which makes them unique and standout from the rest of the characters in this book.
