Dear Reader, I hope, for your sake, that you have not chosen to read this book because you are in the mood for a pleasant experience. If this is the case, I advise you to put this book down instantaneously, because of all the books describing the unhappy lives of the Baudelaire orphans, The Miserable Mill might be the unhappiest yet. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire are sent to Paltryville to work in a lumber mill, and they find disaster and misfortune lurking behind every log.

This book is the fourth book in the “series of unfortunate events” which is one of the greatest series ever written.

This book is very short just as the previous 3 books in this series. And I’ve done the same thing which I’ve did with the previous book which of course is reading the entire book in one sitting. 

This book is a page turner just as the previous 3 books in this series. And so far I come to love this series more and more with each read book in this series.

The more books you reading in this series, the sadder you feel for Violet, Klaus and Sunny. Because Count Olaf is making more and more schemes and Violet, Klaus and Sunny can’t even catch a break.

The plot here gets a really sad, because Violet, Klaus And Sunny are forced to work in a lumber mill and Klaus gets hypnotised. At the same time it’s very interesting to read it and very enjoyable.

The plot in this book is highly depressing and terribly entertaining. Which is a unique mix between these two.

I need to give Count Olaf some credit because his get-rich schemes are getting better and better which each book. 

The character are so amazing. They are even better than they were in the first book in this series. You can truly see the character development happen in each book which is the most satisfying thing to see in this series.

However Mr. Poe is still the blind idiot he was in the first book. At this point being in the fourth book, he really should get the hint of listening to Violet, Klaus and Sunny when they say that a person is Count Olaf is disguise. However it’s very satisfying to see him shown by Violet, Klaus and Sunny that they were right all along.

The writing style in this book, as in this series as a whole (so far) is incredible. Its so good, that I can’t even put words to it. You really have to read this series to really understand what I’m talking about.
