All Evie Cruz wants for Christmas is a nap. And maybe some ornaments for her naked Christmas tree. And while she’s making a list, she wouldn’t mind unwrapping her sexy upstairs neighbor like a present. Luckily, the building’s Santa-themed party and a surprise sprig of mistletoe give her just the opening she needs to make all her wishes come true.
This book has to easily be my favorite book from the “Under The Mistletoe Collection” book series. And I’m gonna explain why in this review of course.
The plot in this book is very sweet and very cozy to read. The plot in this book is actually very interesting, enjoyable and it engages the read to keep reading until the very end. Which in my opinion the previous books in this series didn’t do.
We don’t get a lot of characters in this book but does we get are actually very very good. Which really surprised me because the previous books in this series had meh characters. But this book is actually very different from the previous books in this series but of course different in a good way. The characters in this book very realistic, relatable but also at the same time very cute as for an Christmas book this is
The female main character has my childhood dream job which gave me the biggest childhood nostalgia and because of a part of myself couldn’t help it but fall in love with her.
Both of the main characters in this book are so adorable and sweet to read during the Christmas holidays. Which really made my day when I read this book in one sitting.
The Christmas spirit is this book is just so cozy and fun that in a way it has boosted my Christmas spirit last Christmas I actually read this book and the entire series in general. Which I personally gave this book some extra points because of it giving me a little Christmas kick.
The plot in this book actually has a very generic Christmas plot do it, since the main characters moves into a new apartment building and she gets a crush on her upstairs neighbor. But the way the author tells this generic plot, makes it unique in a way and the plot doesn’t feel like you have watched or read the same plot unfold a million times before. Which again made me give this book some extra points for doing that.
The writing style in this book surprised me a lot to be honest. Because it was simple and quick to read but at the same time it didn’t feel like a typical YA writing style. It felt more like a advanced version of that, which can resonate with the YA readers and those of us who aren’t big fans of the YA genre.
I don’t know if it was just me but I had a really hard time trying to put this book done while reading it. And because of this I read this entire book in one sitting. But also the fact that this book is 50 something pages long makes it very easy to read this book in one sitting.
If ups are looking for a Christmas book to read during this Christmas season I would recommend this one because how much I loved this book.
I Give This Book 5 / 5
