“The Pumpkin Spice Café” By Laurie Gilmore Review

When Jeanie’s aunt gifts her the beloved Pumpkin Spice Café in the small town of Dream Harbor, Jeanie jumps at the chance for a fresh start away from her very dull desk job. Logan is a local farmer who avoids Dream Harbor’s gossip at all costs. But Jeanie’s arrival disrupts Logan’s routine and he wants nothing to do with the irritatingly upbeat new girl, except that he finds himself inexplicably drawn to her. Will Jeanie’s happy-go-lucky attitude win over the grumpy-but-gorgeous Logan, or has this city girl found the one person in town who won’t fall for her charm, or her pumpkin spice lattes.

I have to start with this interview by saying that I was very skeptical about this book and the whole series in general before getting into it. Because I thought it would be one of those very overhyped books and series that would appear on my BookTok feed. But after finishing this book I need to admit that I had really much liked this book and am very interested in reading the rest of this series.

The plot in this book is very cheesy but also very very cozy. Even thou I’m not a huge fan of romance books I kinda admit that I really liked the plot in this book. There was something about it which made me very interested and engaged in the plot even thou its not my usual read.

The reason why I say this book is a cozy read is because the plot in this book is very sweet, endearing and funny which makes it a perfect autumn where you can sit infant of a fireplace wrapped in a blanket and read a sweet and funny book. Which this book is easily is in my opinion.

The plot in this book is very simple and easy going, which makes it a perfect read if you don’t want to use a lot of brain power while reading a book. The plot is very interesting and enjoyable. And as I’ve said above the plot in this book is very cozy where all you want to do is chill in a comfy chair and read all day.

I personally liked the plot of this book so much as I does, because my all time biggest dream is to own my own coffee shop at some point in my life. And the fact that this book is about jeanie who’s aunt gifts her with a coffee shop.

The characters in this book were very good. Because they felt like real human beings which I would have no problem becoming best friends with in real life. All of the characters we get in this book are written very well and I had no problem at all in loving the characters in this book.

Each of the characters we get in this book, have their own personalities and something that makes them unique and stand out from the rest of the characters in this book.

The writing style in this book is very simple and easy going. Which really goes well together with the plot. Both the writing style and storyline in this book are very straightforward and you don’t need to use a lot of brain power while reading this book to enjoy it.

I Give This Book 4 / 5
