“There Was a Child Went Forth” By Walt Whitman Review

This little poem expresses the author’s identification of his consciousness with all objects and forms, and the list of things which he himself identifies with is large and comprehensive and is a good example of Whitman’s catalogs.

And yet again we are talking about another bad poem.

However I need to give this poem points for making a good point regarding children. And that point which this poe us making is that children imitate what they see and because of this they become those things which they imitate.

But the rest of this poem is just bad and could have been better if it had focused only on the aspect which I mentioned above. But of course it did do that and here we are with a low rating.

The writing style here in this one was also pretty bad however it had 2 or 3 good moments where the writing style was truly shining but that’s not enough to qualify the writing as good as a whole.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“The Red Wheelbarrow” By William Carlos Williams Review

By declaring that “so much depends upon” the wheelbarrow, then, the poem implies the importance of agriculture and farm laborers.

If you think that every poem has major meaning behind every line then grab this poem and read it because then you will connived that you were wrong in these believes. What I’m trying to say is that this poem has nothing interesting, exciting, enjoyable or meaningful in it. This poem is a huge killjoy.

The writing style is very, very poor in this one. And it seems like it was written by a drunk and druged up monk with mental disabilities.

The plot in this poem isn’t better from the writing style because the plot as well feels like it was thought of by the same monk. Which really speaks for itself here don’t it?

I give this poem 1 / 5

“The Stones” By Sylvia Plath Review

Here we are again taking about one of Sylvia Plath’s poems and this time it is “The stones”.

The story in this poem was super bad and I didn’t even bother to try to connect with it because it was so bad and bizarre.

The writing style here was okay, but I really didn’t pay attention to it because the story distracted me because it was so bad.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud” By William Wordsworth Review

The narrator talks about wandering like a cloud floating above hills and valleys, he encountered a field of daffodils beside a lake. The dancing, fluttering flowers stretched endlessly along the shore, and though the waves of the lake danced beside the flowers, the daffodils outdid the water in glee.

So again we are talking about a bad poem. I gotta sat that I’m becoming tired reading all these bad poems.

The writing style here is bad. And somehow it has the generic writing style which is in every bad poems.

The plot here is also bad. It wasn’t that unique because there were poems which had the same or almost the same plot as this one has.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“The Lake Isle of Innisfree” By W.B. Yeats Review

The poem is about an actual place near the coast of Ireland, the Lake Isle of Innisfree, which is a very small, uninhabited island on the lake Lough Gill, in County Sligo.

I gotta say that this poem had the potential to be a 3 star poem but it didn’t use that potential.

The plot itself was so boring that you can’t even imagine. It might be something to do with me being harsh with poems but come on I can’t stand a bad plot no matter if it is a book or a poem or a movie.

The writing style here was bad, which really even more destroyed the poem for me.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“Nocturne” By Sylvie Ginestet Review

Nocturne, an incredibly beautiful and sensual vampire, exchanges her pleasures for blood. These men seal a deadly pact, but doesn’t she offer them the best way to die?

I kind of liked this one because this one is pretty smooth and light vampire story in a poem form.

The story as I mentioned was good but there were something missing for me at least. And I don’t know if I’m just very picky but I felt like there were couple of plot holes in this little poem.

The writing style was pretty okay but it gave me a huge gothic vibe which I loved while reading this poem.

I kind of wish that this poem would have been a book instead of a poem because it could have been so much better if the author added more characters, added more story to it and went into details.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“Berck Plage” By Sylvia Plath Review

This poem of unmitigated negativity and funereal gloom is thought by many to be one of Plath’s least appealing.

This poem was my first poem by this author and I didn’t have any high expectations for it which was good because it didn’t disappointed me.

The writing style was pretty average but I saw the potential to be better than it actually was.

The story was pretty good actually, but there were something which didn’t work well with me here. And there were couple of parts in this poem which I just wanted to skip.

The story had the potential to be better but as you may guess, the potential wasn’t used.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“The Disquieting Muses” By Sylvia Plath Review

Here  we go again with another poem which didn’t work with me,

The story in this poem was bad, and I had very hard time trying to connect with it. Which is bad because I’m sort of tired of giving bad reviews of poems and books.

The writing style was bad, but we can’t do anything about that. It might have something to do with it being written couple of decades ago. And as we all know the language and the methods of writing have changed a lot.

It was second poem by this author and I can say that this one is the worst so far at least.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“Fatal Interview: Sonnets” By Edna St. Vincent Millay Review

In a matchless sonnet sequence, is enshrined the quintessence of her emotional and artistic power. She brings to the classic form new color and new splendor.

So once again we are talking about the same author. This is our second poem by this author.

This poem was a little bit from the past poem I reviewed which was “Love Is Not All, Veertien Sonetten”. But it was much better.

The writing style was pretty average if you ask me here. It wasn’t bad not good. It was okay.

The story was okay in this poem but it could have been much better than it actually was. But as you might imagine by the rating I had hard time connecting with the story which result in low rating.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“To Autumn” By John Keats Review

TO AUTUMN JOHN KEATS

This poem is describing its abundance, harvest, and transition into winter, and uses intense, sensuous imagery to elevate the fleeting beauty of the moment.

And here we go again with talking about yet another boring and bad poem in my opinion.

It was bad however the topic was kind of unique and I would enjoy it if it was longer and if it had used its full potential which it had.

The plot was okay for the most part but still nothing unique because it was presented to us in a wrong way.

The writing style was bad, it felt like someone was trying way to hard to write like Edgar Allan Poe and H.P Lovecraft at the same time but didn’t quit achieve that goal.

I give this poem 1 / 5
