“The Beast Within” By Serena Valentino Review

A cursed prince sits alone in a secluded castle. Few have seen him, but those who claim they have say his hair is wild and nails are sharp–like a beast’s! But how did this prince, once jovial and beloved by the people, come to be a reclusive and bitter monster? And is it possible that he can ever find true love and break the curse that has been placed upon him?

This book is the second book in the Disney Villains book series by Serena Valentino. I gotta admit here that the deeper I get into this series the more I love the books in this series and the whole series in general. But of course I will explain everything in this review, so without making the intro longer than it needs to be lets get into the review.

First of all I need to mention here that this book diverges a little bit from the original beauty and the beast story. But it still was very good and interesting. The reason why this book diverges from the original story is because this book is told from Beast’s perceptive.

This book is written form the Beast’s perceptive and we see the story unfold from his perspective which makes us see different aspects of the story than we do in the original version of the story. Which I personally loved a lot, because having this story told once again but from Beast’s perceptive really adds more depth to the original story and it makes the story more fun in my opinion at least.

This book starts with telling us how the Prince changed into the beast and why he changed into the beast. Which in my opinion adds more backstory and information to the tale. I personally found it to be very interesting and enjoyable to actually get the backstory of why and how the prince Prince changed into the beast. Because ever since I could remember I always to know what got the prince to be changed into the beast. And this book tells us exactly what happened to make the prince change into the beast and what were the requirements for the beast to change back to his normal self.

The characters in this book are very good and well written. Because the characters in this book are very relatable and likable at the same time the characters in this book feel like real human beings in a way because of how much depth and personalities they have.

The characters in this book doesn’t have anything new to them which they didn’t have in the original story of Beauty and The Beast. But at times those characters feel somehow different but thats because we get to see those characters from Beast’s perspective rather than Belle’s perspective.

The writing style in this book is very YA typical, because it is very simple and easy to read. Even thou the writing style is easy and simple it complements with the storyline in this book very well. The writing style really nicely captures the storyline in this book which really made me give this book some extra points for doing.

I personally found the writing style in this book to be very hypnotizing because of how the writing style truly grabbed my attention and didn’t let it go until the very end.

But there is one thing which annoyed me with the writing style in this book. And that thing which annoyed me in the writing style of this book is the fact that at times the writing style tried way too hard to sound very poetic and musical. Which at times really made me cringe and make me annoyed.

Because of the easy writing style this book is a very quick read, it could very easily be read in one sitting because of how interesting it is and how it grabs your attention right from the start and doesn’t let it go until the very end of this book.

In my opinion the story feels pretty rushed at times, because there are certain paragraphs in this book which move very fast. Which in a way made me disappointed because I wanted this book to be longer and go more in depth into the Beast’s perceptive which it didn’t.  And this for me personally is the only downside of this book.

“Swerve #1” By Jon Judy & Dexter Wee Review

Chapter One of Six. San Antonio, 1976: Eric Layton, desperate for cash, left college behind to dive into the world of pro-wrestling. From there, it was an easy slide into the underbelly of the “rasslin'” biz, where the box office and concession stand make for an easy way to launder drug money.

I gotta admit here that this comic book really surprised me a lot even thou it is only the first chapter of a full comic book. But lets get into this review without making the introduction longer than it needs to be.

This comic book gives us a story about a fast-paced world of action and suspense. Which really got me intrigued and interested in this world and reading the full version of this comic book.

This comic book gives us a concept which is innovative and which is weaving together elements of crime and intrigue with expert precision. Which I really liked a lot about this comic book.

The narrative in this comic book is tightly crafted, which kept me on the edge of their seats from start to finish. Which I ended giving this comic book some extra points for doing.

The characters we are introduced to in this comic book have a lot of depth and complexity to them. Which really appreciated about this comic book.

The main character in this comic book has a lot of personality. And we get to see the main character’s motivations and struggles which were intricately portrayed.

The side characters in this comic book adds a lot of richness to the story, each with their own distinct personalities and roles that enhance the overall narrative.

The artwork of this comic book is pretty dynamic and engaging. The artwork also perfectly capturing the intensity and drama of the story.

The artwork is pretty detailed and atmospheric, adding depth to the narrative which had immersed me in the world of “Swerve.”

This preview gives us the themes of deception, morality, and survival which were woven throughout the story, offering the storyline layers of depth and thought-provoking content. Which again I liked a lot.

These themes elements are skillfully explored, providing both entertainment and substance. Adding so much more to the world of this comic book in my opinion.

So will buy and read the full version of this comic book ? Yes I will. It might take some time for me to actually read the full version of this comic book because I have been way too optimistic when creating my TBR list for this year and I don’t know if I get the time to read the full version of this comic book this year. But I will read the full version of this comic book at some point in time.

“What Is a Woman?: One Man’s Journey to Answer the Question of a Generation” By Matt Walsh Review

What is a woman? For months, Matt Walsh devoted nearly every waking hour to answering this simple question. Honestly, it’s a question he never thought he’d have to ask. But all of a sudden, way too many people don’t seem to know the answer. Is a woman a woman just by feeling or acting a particular way? Aren’t gender roles just a “social construct”? Can a woman be “trapped in a man’s body”? Does being a woman mean anything at all?

This book is easily the best book I’ve read all year. I will explain everything in this review so keep reading.

The main thing I love about this book is the writing style of it. The writing style of this book is very easy. And it feels more like you are having a chat with Matt Walsh rather than reading a book. Because the way this book is written makes it very simple to understand everything this book talks about.

The second thing I loved about this book is the fact that it talks about all the negative side effects about “gender blockers” which are given to kids in the western countries where most doctors, psychologists, therapists and other medical authorities try to feed us bull shit about “gender blockers” having no negative side effects. Some of the negative side effects of “gender blockers” this book mentions is Osteoporosis (weakened bones which happens only to elderly people), higher risk of heart attacks and strokes to just name a few negative side effects which 95% of medical authorities try to tell us doesn’t exist to feed us their propaganda.

The thirds thing which I loved a lot about this book is that this book debunks the whole “higher suicide rate amongst trans youth if they cant change their gender” which most logical people know its bull shit. This book actually show us stats and information which debunk this nonsense. There are no scientific study supporting this theory of the left which shouldn’t be a shocker.

The other thing which this book does amazing as well is show us how the majority of medical authorities cant form coherent sentences if someone asks them a question about gender or what a woman is. Anytime a “medical authorities” cant form a coherent sentence while being asked a medical question or a question about human biology loses their authority in my eyes. Because if you are a “medical authority” means that you have studied at higher eduction level universities for something and if you lose the ability to form sentences if someone challenges your opinion it doesn’t look good for you in my opinion.

Without making the review longer than it already is I wont mention other topics which this book talks about because if I do this review will quickly turn into a 10 pages long essay about all the true things this book mentions.

This book is very important to read now on days because of all the bull shit and propaganda the left is trying to force feed us when it comes to the trans bull shit and how the left is sexualizing out kids in kindergartens and school which makes it look like something from a dystopia.

At the same time this book gives us all the gruesome history of the backstory of how trans trend started and how the early “medical authority” have done to innocent children. It gets very brutal at times and it was very hard to read about all the children abuse the so-called “medical authority” have done the innocent kids under the age of 10.

A college dropout with the ability to travel through time, Alex is the only one who can stop the end of mankind, but will he be able to assemble the clues planted throughout history before it’s too late?

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

This preview sets up a thrilling narrative, which is blending elements of action and suspense with a unique twist. I personally found it to be very interesting and fun to read. I gotta admit here that this preview hooked me in, and I will for sure read the full version of this comic book.

The concept of this preview is innovative and it had hooked me into the world where surprises await at every turn which this preview gives us.

The pacing of the storyline in this preview is expertly handled, ensuring that the story maintains momentum and kept me interested and engaged throughout this preview.

The characters in tis preview are introduced to us with depth and complexity, particularly the protagonist, who is both relatable and intriguing. Which made me give this preview some extra points for doing.

The interactions between the characters hint at rich backstories and motivations which we would get more of in the full version. Which really helped this preview to get me very interested in reading the full version of this comic book.

The artwork in this preview is very standout feature of this preview. Because the artwork is combining detailed illustrations with a gritty, atmospheric style that perfectly complements the narrative.

This preview gives us the themes of identity, transformation, and morality which are woven throughout the narrative, adding layers of depth and intrigue to this preview. Which really I found myself liking a lot. Because these elements are thoughtfully explored, providing both entertainment and substance.

“The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life” By Mark Manson Review

Manson makes the argument, backed both by academic research and well-timed poop jokes, that improving our lives hinges not on our ability to turn lemons into lemonade, but on learning to stomach lemons better. Human beings are flawed and limited—”not everybody can be extraordinary, there are winners and losers in society, and some of it is not fair or your fault.” Manson advises us to get to know our limitations and accept them. Once we embrace our fears, faults, and uncertainties, once we stop running and avoiding and start confronting painful truths, we can begin to find the courage, perseverance, honesty, responsibility, curiosity, and forgiveness we seek.

I wanted to read this book for a while, because Ive heard a lot of good about this book and after reading this book I need to admit that this book is very good. But of course I will explain everything in this review, so lets get started on this review.

First of all which is important to mention about this book is that it is very well written. The writing style makes this book very easy and quick to read. The writing style doesn’t make this book feel heavy with making this book feel like a heavy school textbook.

Even thou this book is a non-fiction book it doesn’t feel like it, since there are many times where the author says something funny and makes a joke in this book. Which really makes you feel like you have simple taking a chat with the author over coffee rather than reading a non-fiction book. I of course gave this book some point for the humor this book has.

This book makes some very good points about how you can get your shit together and have a better life. All the points this books makes are really easy to go through with unlike the some self help books who talk about making those big life changes which are very unrealistic to achieve. The points with this book makes, are very simple and the author explains how to achieve the result you want.

In this book we also get examples from the author’s life, who has also struggles with a lot of things a lot of people struggle with. The author gives us the examples from his own life and how he used the points which this book talks about to achieve a better life.

This book is very interesting and enjoyable. Which really made me give this book some extra points for that. Because I personally was very clued to this book as I was reading it and I just couldn’t put it down, thats how interesting I found this book to be. I personally read this book in one sitting, which really says something to how interested I was in this book.

The author talks about some very important issues and he shows us how easily we can fix the things we don’t like in out lives like quitting smoking, using less social media and your phone and all the other stuff you might not like in your life which you want to change.

All the solutions the author gives us in this book, are very simple and realistic to achieve. Which I already said a few times in this review. The solution which this book provided are like this quote from this book „Don’t just sit there. Do something. The answers will follow.“ It sounds easy and achievable right ? This book shows us that you don’t have to have all the answers straight away, but the moment you start doing something, fixing something your brain will start working and before you notice it the answers will come to you.

“The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star” By Nikki Sixx Review

Set against the frenzied world of heavy metal superstardom, the co-founder of Motley Crue offers an unflinching and gripping look at his own descent into drug addiction. It follows him during the year he plunged to rock bottom and his courageous decision to pick himself up and start living again.

As some of you might know, I am the biggest Motley Crue fan even thou I wasn’t around when they were the biggest in late 80s and 90s. And I need to admit that Nikki Sixx in his 20s and 30s was my all time biggest crush growing up. With that being said lets get into this review.

I always knew that Nikki Sixx went through some very big shit in his life to overdosing multiple times and he struggled with alcohol, cocaine, acid and heroine but them this big was a very big eye opener. Since fuck this book is very dark, depressing and it really shows us how much shit he went through.

One of the things this book make me think as I was reading this book was “How the fuck is this guy still alive?”. Its a big miracle that we still have Nikki Sixx around, because if I did so much drugs as Nikki did, I would have died in the first week. And he lived like this for years.

This book is Nikki diary entires in 1987 right before he overdosed and died for 2 minutes. And I need to say that this book is very heavy, I really think that this book will really stick with me for the rest of my life just because how heavy and dark it was but also because how much of a difficult time I had reading this book.

To be honest here, after reading this book I became even bigger fan and fan girl of Nikki Sixx. Because damn, he went through very dark times which almost no one else will go through in their lives.

If you are looking for a very heavy and dark nonfiction book then this book is a perfect go-to book. If you are a fan of motley crue or music in general you really should read this book. Because it truly shows how dark the world of musicians can get and that it is not only the glitch and glamour of earning a load of cash and almost everyone on earth knowing your name.

After reading this book I need to be honest here and admit that this book is easily the best book and the most heartbreaking book I ever read in my life. And I will for sure re-read this book countless of times in the future.

10-Page Preview! Matthew Carver was an average 16-year-old kid until the day he discovered he had inherited an ancient power and responsibility! The age-old evil known as the Windingo has returned, and only Matthew Carver can defeat it!

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

The preview introduces us to Kagagi, who is a superhero rooted in Native American mythology. I personally found it to be very unique, interesting, and enjoyable. At the same time, it has a very culturally rich narrative, which I enjoyed a lot in this comic book.

The storyline in this preview is very compelling and well-paced, effectively setting up an engaging conflict and intriguing backstory that really hooked me into the storyline immediately.

The main character in this preview is a strong and relatable character, which really made me give this preview some extra points for doing so. The main character has a clear sense of identity and purpose. Which really made it very easy for me to like him and actually care about his journey in this preview and in the full version of this comic book.

The character development, even in this brief preview, is immersive, providing insight into the main character’s motivations and struggles.

“No Regrets: A Rock ‘n’ Roll Memoir” By Ace Frehley Review

He was just a boy from the Bronx with stars in his eyes. But when he picked up his guitar and painted stars on his face, Ace Frehley transformed into “The Spaceman”—and helped turn KISS into one of the top-selling bands in the world. Now, for the first time, the beloved rock icon reveals his side of the story with no-holds-barred honesty . . . and no regrets.

I wanted to read this book for a few years now, since when I was in elementary school and high school I used to listen to a lot of KISS songs, dressed as KISS for countless of halloween growing up so it is safe to say that I was a pretty solid fan of KISS. So of course I needed to read this book at some point.

This book is very good and interesting to read because it contains a lot of behind the scene information and stories which I personally liked a lot.

I need to be honest here and say that Ace was always my favorite member of the KISS, and after reading this book I only liked him more. Since he is very honest in this book and tells all the good and bad shit which happened during his time in KISS without posting fingers at anybody and saying “yeah, he is the bad guy here” which happens in a lot of bands where the group splits up or fires someone from the band.

Some of the stories which Ace talks about in this book makes him seem like an ass, but we gotta keep in mind that most of the stories happened when he was addicted to various substances which doesn’t make a human being very likable when they are addicted to alcohol and drugs.

This book also talks about Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley being a little of control freaks when it comes to the band, which I always thought might be true. But the way Ace talks about this aspect in this book, really doesn’t put all the blame on why Ace and KISS split onto control issues which Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley had.  But rather he says that it was necessary for him to grow as a person and as a musician. Which I really liked since the way Ace put it, it seems like there wasn’t a big bitter fight between them and like they might be on somehow good terms after that event where Ace left the band.

As I said above, I found this book to be very interesting and enjoyable to read because I learned a lot about the band which I didn’t knew before reading this book. But also the way Ace have written this book, made it somehow more interesting in a way, because it really felt like the entire book was his perspective on the inside dealing of KISS during his time, and on all the shit he went through like different addictions to substance and car crashes, the now infamous car chase with the police he had in 1982 and other things he went through.

The writing style in this book was very good, because it really felt like something written by Ace because I felt like it was his style in a way. But also the writing style made the book feel like sitting down with him and having a talk with him because it didn’t feel like reading a book but rather as him telling the whole story to you directly.

I personally think that if you are fan of KISS or rock n roll music in general you should read it. Because it really shows that most of the time, things aren’t as they seem they are in the music industry and that there are a lot of things fans of a certain band or musical don’t know about.

“No Rules Rules: Netflix and the Culture of Reinvention” By Reed Hastings & Erin Meyer Review

There has never before been a company like Netflix. It has led nothing short of a revolution in the entertainment industries, generating billions of dollars in annual revenue while capturing the imaginations of hundreds of millions of people in over 190 countries. But to reach these great heights, Netflix, which launched in 1998 as an online DVD rental service, has had to reinvent itself over and over again. This type of unprecedented flexibility would have been impossible without the counterintuitive and radical management principles that cofounder Reed Hastings established from the very beginning. Hastings rejected the conventional wisdom under which other companies operate and defied tradition to instead build a culture focused on freedom and responsibility, one that has allowed Netflix to adapt and innovate as the needs of its members and the world have simultaneously transformed.

I need to admit here that I didn’t have a lot of expectations for this book because I thought that this book would be another boring Netflix origin book rather than actual pretty useful to your life. But after reading this book I think that this book is easily one of the best books I’ve read this year and we are only halfway through the year which speaks for itself how much I liked this book.

This book was very interesting and enjoyable to read. I personally couldn’t stop reading this book until the very end of it which really doesn’t happen a lot to myself when it comes to non fiction books like this one.

This book is very insightful on how Netflix was able to grow so fast and so big as it did which I also really liked because I didn’t know a lot about it before reading this book. I only knew some very generic basics of Netflix like it opened few years before the 2000, it used to offer DVD rental service when it first opened and now it is probably the biggest streaming platform and movie production company in the world.

This book talks about a lot of things which worked for Netflix and helped it grow to be as big as it is today, but its important to know that its not a business hand-book because what might have worked for Netflix doesn’t mean it would work for other business. But at the same time it does give us the thought process of stepping out of the generic creating a business type thinking and just be creative in what tactics we use to grow the business.

There is some much good things I want to say about this book but I wont be able to,  because this book is over 400+ pages long and I will be talking for a very long time if I wanted to point out very good thing about this book which will really bore you out sooner or latter.

The writing style in this book felt like the author knew exactly what words to use to completely grab our attention and not let it go until the very end of it.

The writing style in this book was very good, because it felt like it was having a chat with the author rather than reading a 400+ pages long book.

This book gives us also a lot of insight into the “no rules rules” policy which I personality am a big fan of because the police talks about take how many vacations week as you want, spend company money, if you are productive and good at your work you can get benefits like working less hours etc.

I personally think that everyone should reading this book because you learn a lot about Netflix in this book and what tactics the executives and CEOs used to get Netflix to the position to which it is now.
