Pomaga jej młody, zafascynowany przełożoną, aplikant Kordian Oryński. Czy jednak wspólnie zdołają doprowadzić sprawę do szczęśliwego finału?

This book is available in polish and English at the time of writing this review. So all the English speaking readers can also get hacked up with this book.

I gotta say that this book was a wild ride, and I loved every second of it. And Im very happy that I finally got to read this book and start the series. Because since 2015 I’ve heard a ton of good things about this book and whole series, I was very reluctant to read this book because I thought that I wouldn’t like it but oh boy, I was wrong. After finishing this book I have to say that I love this fucking book.

The beginning of this book is very intriguing because you don’t know whats is going on, you follow Kordian who have been accepted to very prestige law firm in Warsaw as a apprentice. We don’t know what to expect, what will happen to him or anything. Kordian gets quickly assigned to a mentor who is also the junior associate of the law firm, and her name is Joanna Chyłka.

The plot is very very good, I was completely sucked into this book and I found it impossible trying to put this book down. Because I needed to know what will happen next and I was so deep into this book that during the time I was reading this book nothin else mattered to me. Which really honest happen so often to me.

All the characters here are very good, and to be honest I wouldn’t have any problems with becoming very good friends with each of the characters in this book. All of the characters in this book have huge personality, and something which really makes you like them a lot. You even come to like the one of the name partners of the law firm which really portrayed as the bad guy in the law firm, you know but you come slowly to the point where you like him as well.

When it comes to the two main characters of this book (and the whole series) which of course as Kordian Oryński and Joanna Chyłka. And oh boy, I cant even explain how much I love these two characters. Even thou they have met in this book, they have like the best relationship ever. Their relationship is of best friends who have know each other for decades and who aren’t afraid to roast each other at times. But also they two have a spark between them, there are moments where they almost kiss. And I kept wondering when during the series the become a official couple.

Kordian Oryński is straight out of law university and of course he doesn’t have a lot of experience as a lawyer but you can very easily see how create of a lawyer he will become within the next couple of books in this series.

And don’t get me even started about Joanna Chyłka, she is a bad as. She is easily the best female character I came across so far in my life. Very quickly in this book she secured herself a firm and secure spot in my heart and in my mind.

As for the rest of the characters in this book they are as good of characters as the main characters. Even the bad guy in this book which of course is the client which Kordian Oryński and Joanna Chyłka are representing is oh boy, amazing. The bad guy in this book is all over the place, because he gives a very weird vibe like there is something he is hiding and you just cant decide is he is innocent or if he has committed the crimes he is charged for.

The writing style here is incredible. Because its like the author knows what words to use to grab your attention. The writing style here was a part of the charm of this book because it very very good.

The entire book is very interesting, enjoyable and I knew within the first 100 pages of this book that 5 stars rating isn’t enough to show how much I love this book.

This book doesn’t have the fastest speed, it tends to be more on the slow side of things but it really makes up for this fact. Because it goes through everything which happens in this book more in detail and in doing so it sucks you deeper into it just like if you are the lawyer in this book and learning everything as things comes up.

The ending of this book has a huge plot twist here, because the closer and closer to the ending the more of the hopeless feeling you get about the two main characters losing their court case for their client. I cant say what will happen in the ending of this book, because I don’t want to spill the tea for anyone who hasn’t read the book yet. But just be prepared the ending will be a huge “what the fuck happened here?” Moment.

I Give This Book 5 / 5

“Dooku: Jedi Lost” By Cavan Scott Review

Darth Tyranus. Count of Serenno. Leader of the Separatists. A red saber, unsheathed in the dark. But who was he before he became the right hand of the Sith? As Dooku courts a new apprentice, the hidden truth of the Sith Lord’s past begins to come to light. Dooku’s life began as one of privilege—born within the stony walls of his family’s estate, orbited by the Funeral Moon where the bones of his ancestors lie interred. But soon, his Jedi abilities are recognized, and he is taken from his home to be trained in the ways of the Force by the legendary Master Yoda.

This book has to be easily one of the top best books I’ve read during this year. I love star wars and I loved this book.

However its important to say that this book is more of a full script rather than a regular book. But I still loved it a lot. Reading this book I could easily image how a movie based of this script would look like, and because of this I gave this book some extra point.

The plot was were interesting, enjoyable and very very attention grabbing. The plot is very unique and it brings a lot to the history of Count Dooku, because it involves a lot of memories from Dooku’s past when he was training to be a Jedi knight, when he was a padawan to Yoda, when he became a Jedi Knight, when he became a member of the Jedi Council, when he turned to the dark side and his family relationships. Which was really interesting to learn about in detail.

From the moment I started reading this book, I became clued to this book and I couldn’t put it away because I was completely sucked into the plot and the characters.

I personally think that Dooku is one of the underestimate and under hyped characters in the star wars universe. And this book really proves that he truly is an underestimated character and that we for sure need to see more of him and should have more books and a tv show about him.

If you ever wondered how Dooku got to be the character he was in the movies, then this book will give you all the answers because this whole book is all about him and you will revisit all of his past memories to how and why he got to be who he is in the movies.

I cant say much about the writing style in this book, since its a script rather than a normal novel. And I don’t know how or if it is even possible to review a writing style in a script.

If you are a fan of star wars then you should read this book. If you want to get into reading star wars books than this book is one of the best choices to start your journey with when it comes to star wars book. Because it will give you a good example of how good star wars books can get. But at the same time it will suck you into the star wars books.

The ending here was a little bit unexpected and it really gives us a huge plot twist, and because of the ending am a little mixed up about this book. And I dont know what I should feel about the ending because it was so good.

“Turtles All the Way Down” By John Green Review

Aza Holmes never intended to pursue the disappearance of fugitive billionaire Russell Pickett, but there’s a hundred-thousand-dollar reward at stake and her Best and Most Fearless Friend, Daisy, is eager to investigate. So together, they navigate the short distance and broad divides that separate them from Pickett’s son Davis. Aza is trying. She is trying to be a good daughter, a good friend, a good student, and maybe even a good detective, while also living within the ever-tightening spiral of her own thoughts.

To be very honest here, this book surprised me a lot because it was much better than I expected it to be. I didn’t know anything about this book before reading it and let me tell you that this book is very good.

I started reading this book without knowing much about it, and it might have been a good things because I didn’t have any expectations for this book.

The writing style in this book is very very good, its like the author knew what words to use to completely grab my attention.

The plot here is very unique here because is about teen girl trying to solve a murder while she is dealing with mental health issue. A lot of these things the plot talked about mental health problems was really relatable for me personally.

I haven’t come across a plot like this one yet so I give the plot in this book some extra points. Because I really really liked it.

The characters in this book weren’t quite the perfect character, but they were good character not like in the previous John Green book I’ve read which was “Paper Towns” were the characters were so damn annoying and shallow. But this book and its characters were very good.

I liked all of the characters in this book, because all of the characters in this book had their own unique personalities and they had something which made them unique. At the same time they felt like they were real human beings because they had so much personality. And the main characters problems with mental health with anxiety and OCD to be more specific made her feel even more real. Because her issues with mental health felt very similar to my anxiety and panic attacks. And I couldn’t help but relate to her a lot. And feel what she goes through because I go through the same things as she does.

This book will for sure stick with me for a long time because I liked it so much. But also the reason why it will stick with me for a long time is because it truly and accurately describes how it feels like living with anxiety and OCD. This book is very accurate with its descriptions about what goes through your mind when you are living with anxiety and OCD.

“The Godfather” By Mario Puzo Review

Almost fifty years ago, a classic was born. A searing portrayal of the Mafia underworld, The Godfather introduced readers to the first family of American crime fiction, the Corleones, and their powerful legacy of tradition, blood, and honor. The seduction of power, the pitfalls of greed, and the allegiance to family—these are the themes that have resonated with millions of readers around the world and made The Godfather the definitive novel of the violent subculture that, steeped in intrigue and controversy, remains indelibly etched in our collective consciousness.

This book has to easily be the best book I’ve read this entire year (2024). I never expected this book to be so incredible as it was.

From the very moment I started reading this book I was sucked into it and I just couldn’t pull myself away from this book. And even when I wasn’t reading this book I was thinking about and what will happen next in this book. Which was really surprising because I couldn’t never actually finish the movie based off of this book which is a paradox I will not understand.

The plot in this book was purely gold. It was very interesting, enjoyable, fascinating, tense and instant attention grabber. There was a lot of action in this book but there wasn’t actually a lot of killing happening, it was a decent amount of killing happened but we actually weren’t there when the killing happened but rather we got told by different character something like “he is dead, so and so person killed them” and we would just move on to the next thing happening. Which I found to be a more tense solution than the author writing the murder scenes in details which never worked for me personally.

The edition I have of this book has almost 600 pages, but it really felt very short because I read this book so fast because I so sucked into this book. And after reading this book I fully understand why so many people love this book, it is because this book is so very good, and it is easily in my top 10 all time favorite books and it might or might not be the number one for the moment.

All the characters in this book are very very incredible. It will very easy to relate to them but more importantly they felt like real human beings which I personally wouldn’t have any problems being friends about.

But also you know that the Corleone family is up to no good, you can help but root for them and see them survive and be successful in whatever shade things they are doing. And thats what happened to me during the process of reading this book.

The writing style in this book is very incredible because it was like the author knew what words to use to grab my attention and to not let it go to the very end of the book. And as I have said above somewhere, I was completely clued to the book and the writing style was one of the reason why I was clued to it.

“Notes on a Nervous Planet” By Matt Haig Review

The societies we live in are increasingly making our minds ill, making it feel as though the way we live is engineered to make us unhappy. When Matt Haig developed panic disorder, anxiety, and depression as an adult, it took him a long time to work out the ways the external world could impact his mental health in both positive and negative ways. Notes on a Nervous Planet collects his observations, taking a look at how the various social, commercial and technological “advancements” that have created the world we now live in can actually hinder our happiness. Haig examines everything from broader phenomena like inequality, social media, and the news; to things closer to our daily lives, like how we sleep, how we exercise, and even the distinction we draw between our minds and our bodies.

This book has to be easily the best self help book I’ve read so far. This book literally consumed me while I was reading it and I found it very hard trying to pull myself away from this book, because it was so interesting.

This book was the first book ive read from Matt Haig and I need to say that I will read the rest of his books soon, because I absolutely loved this book and how it was written as well as how easy and understandable the author makes this book. If his books are as good as this one he will become my favorite author very easily.

This book makes a lot of good points about mental health and how to navigate our mental health in the era of instagram, Facebook, twitter, consumerism and internet in general. Which becomes a more and more relevant topic as more of our lives take place on the internet.

As someone who is dealing with panic attacks and depression I need to say that this book is very helpful and really motivates you to get your life back together even if it may seem very very hard or impossible at times.

As I’ve said above this book is very easy and simple to understand, which is a big reason why I love this book so much because even if this book uses a big words, the author takes the time to explain the term in a smooth and easy way. And the big words in this book are very rare because the author uses a very understandable language and not a lot of complex terms.

In this book, the author shares with us his personal experience dealing with mental health and what helped him and what he still struggles with decades later dealing with his mental health problems. Which really makes it relatable if you are struggling with your mental health and makes you realize that you aren’t the only one struggling even if it may seem like you are the only one.

This book shows you how you can take small steps when it comes with dealing with mental health problems, which may seem too small to matter what they will matter in the long run.

This book also inspired me to take a break from social media and try to quite the process of mindlessly scrolling through instagram, twitter or Tik Tok for hours each day and rather pick up a book.

The writings style here was amazing, it was like the author knew what words to use to fully grab my attention and to not let it go until the very end of this book. Which I complete love when it happens in books, but more so in non-fiction books.

When it comes to the ending of this book I thin it was a little bit weaker than the rest of this book, it wasn’t super bad or horrible but you could feel like this book gets a little bit worse during the last chapter of this book.

“The Snowman” By Jo Nesbø Review

Oslo in November. The first snow of the season has fallen. A boy named Jonas wakes in the night to find his mother gone. Out his window, in the cold moonlight, he sees the snowman that inexplicably appeared in the yard earlier in the day. Around its neck is his mother’s pink scarf. Hole suspects a link between a menacing letter he’s received and the disappearance of Jonas’s mother – and of perhaps a dozen other women, all of whom went missing on the day of a first snowfall. As his investigation deepens, something else emerges: he is becoming a pawn in an increasingly terrifying game whose rules are devised – and constantly revised – by the killer.

This book is the 7th book in the “Harry Hole” series, and in my opinion this book is the best book in this series so far, but I have still a few books from this series to read.

The plot in this book was very interesting and enjoyable. There was a lot of thing happening in this book, and from start to finish you were left sitting on the edge of your sit because of the tension which was going on this book.

The plot was very intense because of everything which was happening in this book and I personally loved it. The plot in this book really shines bright in this whole “Harry Hole” series.

The characters here are amazing, each character in this book is very unique and have something which sets them apart from the rest of the character. When it comes to Harry Hole, he truly shines in this book and for me personally in this book he is more than a drunk who is a police detective.

The writing style in this book is very good, because its like the author know what words to use to completely suck me into this book and to not let me go until the very end of this book.  Which I truly love when it happens in books.

When it comes to the ending of this book, and the whole process of catching the killer is very intestate and big. And wow, I’m just left speechless after reading the ending of this book because it was so amazing.

This book also made me somehow paranoid about snow mans, because if I’m gonna see a snow man in real life from this moment on, I will think about this book and about the killer in this book.

“Library of Souls” By Ransom Riggs Review

As the story opens, sixteen-year-old Jacob discovers a powerful new ability, and soon he’s diving through history to rescue his peculiar companions from a heavily guarded fortress. Accompanying Jacob on his journey are Emma Bloom, a girl with fire at her fingertips, and Addison MacHenry, a dog with a nose for sniffing out lost children.

This book is the third book in the “Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children” series and I need to say that this book is my favorite book in this series so far at least. At the same time this book is the longest book in this series so far.

The plot here is just wow, I didn’t expect the plot to be better than in the second and first book but the author proves me wrong and writes an much better plot in this book than what we got in the first and second books in this series.

There is a a lot of action in this book, and wow I cant wrap my head around how many things happened in this book. There is a lot of things going down in this book, and there are a lot of plot twists in this book.

There is a lot of action in this book from the very first page of this book to the very last page of this book. And I completely loved this fact, because throughout this entire book you will sit at the edge of your sit and wonder what will happen next.

The characters in this book are so much better than they were in the first book, and I just cant help it but fall in love with them with each book in this series. Because the character development is huge in this book as the whole series in general.

Jacob becomes a perfect main character, because he starts of not knowing anything about the peculiar children thing and now in this book he just like wow, I cant say much about how it turns out in this book because I will spoil a lot of things from this book for people who haven’t read this book yet.

The writing in this book is just as amazing as in the previous books in this series. And this means that the writing style feels like the author knows exactly what words to use to completely grab my attention and suck me into the story and not let me go until the very end.

The ending in this book is very big and there is a lot of things happening at the end which really blow my mind. At the same time the ending we get in this book is very satisfying. And I cant believe still how incredible the ending was.

“Hollow City” By Ransom Riggs Review

September 3, 1940. Ten peculiar children flee an army of deadly monsters. And only one person can help them – but she’s trapped in the body of a bird. The extraordinary journey that began in “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” continues as Jacob Portman and his newfound friends journey to London, the peculiar capital of the world. There, they hope to find a cure for their beloved headmistress, Miss Peregrine.

This book is the second book in the “Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children” series, and so far being two books deep into this series and I cant help it but be absolutely in love with this series. Because so far, this series is getting better and better.

The plot in this book is just wow, there is so much happening in this book and with every page you read you get more and more sucked into this book. The plot is very unique and very very interesting and engaging.

The characters here are amazing, I love so much. There is a huge character development here, which I personally love a lot. And a lot of characters here have their unique personality and something which makes you care about them and identify with them.

The fact that Jacob is new to this entire peculiar children thing, makes it so much better for us as readers because we learn new things along side Jacob and we get to see everything happen through his perspective which I personally love a lot.

The writing style here is amazing because its like the author knows what words to use to suck you into it, and to not let it go until the very end and beyond that.

This book continues to expand the universe in this series, and we get much more action outside the loop we began this series with.

The ending here is very good, because it doesn’t live you at a cliffhanger but at the same time it does. The ending is very good and what I wanted from this book. And the ending leaves you with a urge to continue this series as fast as possible so of course when I finished this book I picked book 3 right away.

“Ignite Me” By Tahereh Mafi Review

With Omega Point destroyed, Juliette doesn’t know if the rebels, her friends, or even Adam are alive. But that won’t keep her from trying to take down The Reestablishment once and for all. Now she must rely on Warner, the handsome commander of Sector 45. The one person she never thought she could trust. The same person who saved her life. He promises to help Juliette master her powers and save their dying world . . . but that’s not all he wants with her.

This book is the third book in the “Shatter Me” series, and I need to say it again, Im loving this series more and more, with each book I read in this series.

To be fully honest, this book was an emotional roller coaster, which I loved a lot. There were huge love triangle drama in this book, and Juliette final made a final decision in her love triangle thing going on.

The beginning of this book was slow, but it was very very enjoyable to read. And the further you got in this book the more and more action this book began to have. Which really was very interesting and enjoyable. And while reading this book I lost all track of time because I was so sucked into this book.

The character became even better in this book, and if you compare the characters in this book with the same characters in the first book then you will see the huge character development which every character had got in this series.

The characters here are so unique, and they feel like real human beings, which really made me fall in love with them so much more. The characters in this book have depth, their own thoughts and opinions.

The plot in this book was wow where should I begin with it? There was so much happening in this book, even thou the beginning was slow it was still a lot of things happening there to keep you entrained.

The writing style here was amazing, because it was like the author knew what words to use to grab out attention and to not let it go to the very end.

I Give This Book 5 / 5

“Unite Me” By Tahereh Mafi Review

Destroy Me tells the events between Shatter Me and Unravel Me from Warner’s point of view. Even though Juliette shot him in order to escape, Warner can’t stop thinking about her–and he’ll do anything to get her back. But when the Supreme Commander of The Reestablishment arrives, he has much different plans for Juliette. Plans Warner cannot allow. Fracture Me is told from Adam’s perspective and bridges the gap between Unravel Me and Ignite Me. As the Omega Point rebels prepare to fight the Sector 45 soldiers, Adam’s more focused on the safety of Juliette, Kenji, and his brother. The Reestablishment will do anything to crush the resistance… including killing everyone Adam cares about.

This book has two separate books in it which are both Destroy Me and Fracture Me, which I’ve already reviewed few days ago.

This book is really nice because it contains two separate books, which makes you buy just one book instead of two books. Which means you save money and space on the bookshelf.

In my opinion Destroy Me is much better than Fracture Me. Because I found Warner’s perspective is so much better than Adam’s perspective. And because I like Warner much more than Adam.

Fracture Me, wasn’t what I’ve expected even from Adam’s perspective. Because he spend the 2 precious books in this series trying to prove himself to Juliette but when she gets taken by Warner’s father, and Adam’s little brother is in danger at the same time. He just doesn’t give a damn about Juliette and acts like she doesn’t matter anymore. I get it, you go save your little brother and then have the rest of the gang to go after Juliette. But don’t insist on everyone going to save your little brother even thou your group can split in half. But thats just one of my many problems with Adam.

The writing style in both Destroy Me and Fracture Me, is incredible. Ive said it before but im gonna say it again. Tahereh Mafi is an incredible writer. Because its like she knows what words to use to grab our attention and to not let it go before the very end of the book and still making us wanting more.
