There was once an old house that was so dilapidated that it made the other houses in the street ashamed. But, the little boy who lived opposite liked it a lot and loved looking at it day and night. When, one day, the boy learned that the old man who owned the house was all alone, he decided to set things right.

This one was really not for me. Maybe reading children stories as an adult isn’t the best thing to do for some people.

I personally found this story to be very boring and uninteresting. I really had hard time reading it because I just couldn’t get into the story.

The story is pretty quick read, but that’s the only good thing about this story for me personally.

The biggest leaf we have in this country is certainly the burdock leaf. If you hold one in front of your little stomach, it’s just like a real apron; and in rainy weather, if you lay it on your head, it does almost as well as an umbrella. It’s really amazingly large. Now, a burdock never grows alone; no, when you see one you’ll always see others around it. It’s a splendid sight; and all this splendor is nothing more than food for snails-the big white snails which the fine people in olden days used to have made into fricassees.

Everyone was an heir had been born and mother and son were doing well! Almost all the fairies came to offer a gift to the newborn, there was just one missing who should have brought the last pearl.

Far away, towards the Far East, the sun tree could be found, a huge tree, bigger than any tree imaginable. A whole palace was perched in its highest branches and the inhabitant of this palace was none other than the wisest man in the world.

One day, a man decides to create a new illustrated alphabet to help children learn the alphabet and how to read, but this greatly annoys the old illustrated alphabet! Was it not good enough for the children?

In Denmark, the railway is a string of pearls. In Europe, the pearls of this necklace are Paris, London, Vienna and Naples. Here, we see six pearls of the Danish railway and quickly find that it is easier to travel since the invention of the train!
