These fraternity boys just made a BIG mistake.Spring break in Cancun was supposed to be a non-stop party. Beer, sun, and bragging about all the hot girls that they’d hooked up with. Getting kidnapped by a criminal syndicate was not part of the plan.
What the fuck have I just read ? I really don’t know here. Because I usually hate this kind of books.
I personally have a lot of problems with this book, but before we start with the negative sides of this book in my opinion lets talk about the very few positive things which this book has.
The things I somehow liked about this book is that for one this book is a very quick read, since it is only 56 pages long, which means under an hour read. And the second thing which I somehow liked about this book is that it is for sure very unique and I haven’t read anything even close to the theme of this book.
Now that we are done talking about the positive sites of this book for me. Lets get to the negative things I have to say about this book.
One of the things which I really didn’t like about this book was the the author of this book makes a fair share of comments about women which I found to be pretty weird and wrong. But again it could have been just me overthinking things about this book.
The second thing which I didn’t like about this book was the fact that the two guys were sold as slaves to some rich old white guy to be sold to other old white guys I didn’t like that. Because it feels very wrong to me. Because the author did just threat the 2 guys as sex dolls rather than “human beings” even thou it is a very fictional book.
The third thing which I didn’t like about this book was the fact the the main characters was sort of gay, but he slept with girls from his university just to fit in with the rest of fraternity guys which really for me felt like “gay shaming” like if the whole story happened during 19-century or before.
The writing style was felt very YA type, which made this book easier and quicker to read. But if I had a teenager who wanted to read this book I would have burned all the kindles in the house if that was the case.
After I read this book I found out that this book is the first book of a 13 book series (13 books were published in this series of the time I wrote this review for this book so the amount of books in this series could have changed). And I personally don’t have any interest in continuing the series. Even if somehow read all the books published up to date and this series is the only unread books I’m still not gonna do it.
I Give This Book 2 / 5
