I need to admit that this one wasn’t one of the better comic books I’ve read in my time, to be honest here it was more on the opposite area of me liking this comic book. 

This comic book attempts to establish a dynamic new entry in the superhero genre, but ultimately falls short of its ambitious goals. 

The main issue I had with this comic book is that it has a good premise but the way it is presented to us leaves a lot to be desired since it really leaves us feeling like there was something missing and like the author didn’t know what he was doing while writing this one. 

The artwork is very good in this one which in my opinion is the only strength this comic book has. The illustrations are striking and dynamic, capturing both action and emotion with finesse. It adds a visual flair that is certainly appealing, but sadly, it doesn’t entirely compensate for the weaknesses in the story.

The plot in this comic book feels disjointed and lacks the depth necessary to engage readers fully.

The other thing which annoyed me a lot in this comic book was that the pacing is uneven, jumping between scenes without adequately developing the characters or the overarching conflict. Because of this the stakes in this comic book never feel particularly high, and the emotional impact is muted. While the concept has potential, the narrative falters, leaving readers more confused than intrigued.

The character development in this comic book is another area of this comic book where it struggles a fair share. The protagonists and antagonists seem one-dimensional, lacking the complexity that could make their journeys compelling. And because of this I found it difficult to invest myself in the character’s fates since they felt more like a archetypes than fully realized individuals.

Harry Walton, a disenfranchised ex-super-hero sidekick, finds himself having to work with every B-List schmuck in town to work up the ranks of the “Henchman’s Union” towards his ultimate Super-Villain status. Smarter than most of the bosses he works for, Harry is stuck as a second banana once again. But when an opportunity to take revenge against his old Super-Hero partner arises, “Henchman for Hire” Harry Walton takes an initiative and launches a plan that catches the eyes of Super-Villains everywhere!

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

I need to admit that this one offers a captivating glimpse into the world of unconventional heroism which really got me very interested in this one as well as reading the entire comic book at some point. At the same time this one fives a blend of humor and action with a unique narrative style which really made me even more interested in this one.

The writing in this one is sharp and witty, and at the same time it is drawing readers in with clever dialogue and well-crafted scenes.

The atmosphere is very vivid that keeps the pace brisk and engaging. Which really made me give this one some extra points and there. And at the same time it gave extra motivation for reading the full comic book not only this preview.

The protagonist in this one has a very entertaining and thought-provoking journey which really made so interested in this one. There is also a lot of character development which really standout a lot. 

The main protagonist is relatable and flawed, making his experiences resonate with readers. When it comes to the supporting characters are equally well-drawn, adding depth and dimension to the narrative. Their interactions with Harry bring out both the humor and the underlying seriousness of his role in a world that often misunderstands the nature of good and evil.

The storyline in this one is pretty fresh, providing a satirical take on the typical villain-henchman dynamic, while also exploring themes of loyalty, ambition, and the quest for identity.

While the preview leaves readers wanting more, it effectively sets up the potential for a rich and entertaining full-length story. The pacing is generally well-managed, though some sections could benefit from tighter editing to enhance clarity and flow.

I need to admit here that after reading this preview I will be reading the entire comic book as some point this year or the next.

Dr. Love’s maze of mirages and illusions is falling apart, but he still has one trick up his sleeve for Isis. Leading in to some big changes, everyone’s favorite time-tossed-would-be-goddess faces off against Dr. Love again for the first time! But what does it all mean? Is Isis really a god? Did she “create” Mr. Frederick and the others? This brand new collected edition features never before seen images and bonus material!

I need to be honest here and say that this comic book wasn’t one of the better comic books I’ve read in my time, even thou I didn’t like it a lot, I still think it was a decent enough read to give it 2 stars instead of 1 star. But as always I will explain everything in this review.

This comic book felt more like a reading chore than a pleasant adventure read, which disappointed me in a way because this comic book struggles with pacing, character development, and overall coherence.

The plot in this comic book had the potential to be good, but there was something about the narrative which this comic book which didn’t give a shit to make this comic book live up to its full potential. 

The narrative which this comic book has feels disjointed and at times confusing, because the narrative leaves us as readers to piece together the motivations and actions of key characters. Im not a big fan when writers do that which always make me take a lot of points away from the overall rating of the book. 

The action in this book, brings forward the plot needing to have strong and big stakes, but the stakes in this comic book come across as muddled, diminishing the impact of the story’s climactic moments.

The main character in this comic book lacks the depth and complexity that would make her journey compelling. Her interactions with other characters feel superficial, often serving to advance the plot rather than to explore relationships or personal growth. Because of this I had a really hard time liking her or even caring what would happen to her. 

The other characters in this comic book weren’t much better than the main character. But there were 2 characters I liked more than the rest in this comic book. 

The artwork in this comic book is pretty good, easily the best part of this comic book. But the artwork is very inconsistent throughout this comic book. The artwork can be one moment very good but the next moment it appear rushed or lack detail which the previous moment had.

The dialogues in this comic book often feels stilted and lacks the natural rhythm that can elevate a comic. Because the dialogues get at times very heavy and make it confusing in a way. The reason why the dialogues aren’t as good as they could have been is because they feel like they weren’t well thought through.

The race is on for a princess, a liar, a knight and an assassin; all of which are after the same the Elixir of Eternity, A single draught that will grant everlasting life. Only one of them will get it. There are twists, double-dealings, betrayals and no small amount of dry comedy in this well-crafted adventure story.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

I need to admit that I really liked this preview of the full comic book. Because the world this preview presents us has mystery, adventure and have good characters at the same time. And thats a secret that always works on me when it comes to my choices of entertainment.

The narrative in this one is very effective hooking our attention and making us interested in both the plot and the characters in this one.

The plot in this one revolve around a unique premise in this one. The plot in this one in a way  blends elements of fantasy and science fiction and because of this, this preview (and hopefully the full comic book as well) is able to create an immersive universe where the elixir of life holds immense power and peril.

The plot in this one, develops a rich lore, providing just enough background to intrigue without overwhelming us as the readers with all those excessive detail.

The characters seem very good and well written in this preview, so I really hope that they are just as good in the full version of this comic book. The protagonists are well-rounded, each with distinct motivations and backgrounds that make them relatable and engaging. Their interactions add a layer of depth to the narrative, and the conflicts they face are both personal and universal, resonating with readers on multiple levels.

The pacing in this preview is mostly well-handled, though there are moments where the narrative could benefit from a bit more tension to keep the momentum going.

The artwork in the in this comic book is very good and it brings the settings and scenes to life which I really liked about it.

The thing I liked the most about this one is that the exploration of themes such as ambition, sacrifice, and the moral implications of wielding great power. Because in a way it is gives us thought-provoking questions about the costs of pursuing immortality and the ethical dilemmas that arise from tampering with nature.

And of course since this is only the preview of the full comic book, it leaves us with a lot of unanswered questions to intentionally, building anticipation for the full story. I gotta be honest here, after reading this preview I will for sure at some point this year or the next year read the full version of this comic book even thou I am bonito sure when it will happen.

I need to admit that this one has to be one of my least favorite comic books so far, and yes I still remember that this one is only a preview for the full comic book.

The concept for the plot in this one is very ambitious but the way is presented to us in at least this preview falls very flat for me at least. 

The concept here is intriguing for me since it talks about the exploring interconnected lives through time and space, but after reading this preview I was left very confusing since it made me feel like it was a very bad copy of the Star Trek franchise. 

The narration in this preview spans over multiple characters and eras, it could be just me here but I found it very confusing and annoying. And because I got those two feelings and thoughts about this one I just couldn’t bring myself to like this one or be even slightly interested in buying and reading the full comic books. 

The storyline here feels very disjointed and in a way it lacks clarity which would keep the storyline in one direction rather than change the direction with every shifting perspective from one character to another. There are times while I was reading this one that I was feeling like the storyline is trying to overarching themes which really made me even more annoyed. 

If I’m to be very honest here, this preview feels more like a collection of fragmented moments rather than a cohesive story. Which is the reason why I was so confused while reading this one.

The artwork in this one is for sure stylistically unique, but in my opinion it feels very chaotic and overwhelming which isn’t the best thing to be if the reader is already confused solely from the plot of the comic book. 

The artwork often crashes with the narrative of this comic book because instead of enhancing the narrative, it frequently distracts from it which made me dislike this preview even more than I already did.

The dialogues in tis one are very sparse and even when they are present, they often lack he depth needed to convey the characters’ emotions or motivations. 

To be very honest here, after reading this preview I have no interested in buying and reading the full version of this comic book because of how much I disliked this preview.

Summer and Her Monkey is a series of seven short stories that are meant to show young readers the value of the Seven Virtues. Each chapter will have Summer and her doll, who comes to life in Summer’s Dreamland, go on wonderful adventures where she will learn the lessons of Faith, Hope, Charity, Fortitude, Justice, Prudence and Temperance.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

I gotta admit that I wasn’t the biggest fan of this comic book, because this comic book has a good premise but the way it is presented to us making very underwhelming and way too simple.

This comic book had the potential to be a good comic book since it has charm and adventure but the way it is presented to us, just makes this very boring and uninteresting.

I know that this one is just a preview of the full version of this comic book so it shouldn’t give us the whole narration of the full version of this comic book. But the way this preview presents the entire full version of this comic book makes me very uninterested to buy and read the full version of the comic book. 

The plot is pretty lighthearted story that aims to capture the innocence of childhood friendship. But the way the narration of this comic book presents the plot males to feel pretty disjointed and like lacks a clear direction.

The key plot points in this comic book feel pretty rushed which I’m never a big fan of, as some of you might know if you been around this website for while. 

The character in this comic book feel very one-dimensional, and the characters don’t have any personality. The characters are pretty shallow and generic for every children meant product like a comic book, normal book or a show / movie

The dialogues in this comic book often comes off as simplistic, missing the opportunity to convey the depth and emotion that could elevate the story for the readers.

The artwork is easily my favorite part of this comic book because the artwork offers a colorful and vibrant aesthetic which for as I already said is the only highlights of this preview. The artwork is very playful and visually appealing, capturing the playful essence of the characters even thou the characters doesn’t have a lot of essence in this comic book.

There are times when the artwork art feels disconnected from the story, leading to moments where the imagery does not effectively enhance the plot. Thats at least how it was for me as I was reading this one.

However the biggest issue I had with this preview is that it fails to establish a compelling hook which would make me want to buy and read the full version of this comic book. This preview doesn’t give me enough intrigue or conflict to make me interested enough to well buy and read the full version of this comic book which I already said a few dozen times so far in this review. 

So the conclusion is that I wont probably be buying and reading the full version of this comic book or at least not soon but maybe in the future at some point.

I gotta admit that this comic book is far from being one of the good comic books I’ve read in my time. But of course I will explain everything in this review as I always do or at least I hope so.

This comic book had a good and ambitious premise which I gave this comic book some extra points for having. 

This comic book attempts to dive into a world of magic and conflict but the way it is presenting the topic to us as readers it doesn’t make it that great as probably the author would have hoped for achieving with this comic book. 

The narrative of this comic book had the potential to be good, but the way the narrative presented the story makes the story feel very boring and uninteresting to me personally. The narrative would have worked much better if the narrative was different than what we actually got in this comic book. 

The plot in this comic book feels very disjointed and overly ambitious for a single comic book like this one.

The pacing in this comic book is very uneven and inconsistent, with moments that drag and others that rush past crucial developments.

The characters in this comic book aren’t the best, since they come off as one-dimensional and poorly made. But at the same time the character motivations and relationships come off as underdeveloped, making it difficult for us as readers to invest in the characters of this comic book and their journeys they have during this comic book.

The dialogue in this comic book aren’t better than the characters we just discussed, because at times the dialogues feels very clunky and lacks the natural flow that would help ground the story.

My favorite thing about this comic book was the artwork that it does have, since the artwork  is pretty vibrant and energetic, and it is showcasing a distinctive style that has its strengths.

But there are times where the artwork overshadows the narrative, leading to moments where the images do not quite align with the story being told. Which really made me angry in a way.

This comic book has another majority issue as well, and that is the fact that this comic book doesn’t establish a clear central conflict or theme which makes this comic book seem more like unrelated chain of events which don’t have anything to do with the previous event or the event after.

This comic book has some fun and intriguing ideas to it yes, but they are not fully fleshed out and developed which really gives us as readers more questions and annoyance than anything else. 

The last thing I will mention for this review and this comic book is that this comic book in a way lacks a  strong foundation makes it challenging to gauge the stakes involved, which had diminish the overall impact of the story for me personally as I was reading this comic book.

I gotta admit that I really liked this preview, because it was very intriguing because of how we get introduction to a world steeped in mystery and nature.this previews gives a sneak peak which I was very interested in because you can see solely from the preview that the full comic book has a rich storytelling aspect as well as an artistic flair that the full comic book promises.

This preview you gives a captivating summary of the entire comic book which is combining elements of folklore with a modern sensibility. Which I personally found to be very interesting.

The narrative gives a sneak peak to a fun and rich enchanting world where nature plays a pivotal role. At the same time this preview you gives a balance between being accessible and thought-provoking aspect of the full comic book. 

The characters we get to know in this preview have enough depth to intrigue, and their motivations are hinted at, leaving readers eager to learn more about their journeys. To be very honest here I really liked the characters in this preview so I really hope that they are at worst at least as good as in this preview. 

The artwork in this comic is very beautiful, since it gives a unique style blends whimsical and dark elements, perfectly capturing the essence of the story. The artwork in this comic is bringing the characters and their environment to life which I gave this one a few extra points for. But also the artwork here is able to emotion through his art adds an extra layer of depth to the narrative, making each panel a visual delight.

But of course since this one is only the preview for the full comic book, it leaves us with a lot of unanswered questions, which may annoy a lot of people. And to be honest it did annoy me too a little bit, so thats the reason why I gave it 4 starts instead of 5 stars as I wanted to at first. Even thou it annoyed me, I understand that it can give us all the answers since its only the preview and the the thought process behind this is to leave people at a cliffhanger to get as many people as possible to buy and read the full comic book

I need to admit that its been a while since I read a good comic book, and you know what always does the job for me ? Of course its Star Wars comic books, I haven’t come across a bad Star Wars comic book yet at least so lets hope that it stays like this for a long time. But lets get back to the topic of reviewing this particular star wars comic book. 

This comic book in a way beautifully captures the essence of what makes Star Wars so beloved. Which of course is a mix of adventure, rich character development, and the timeless struggle between good and evil.

The plot in this comic book is very engaging, interesting and very enjoyable. Because of how good is it made but also how accessible it is. At the time of writing this review, this comic book is a free on amazon for people who own an Amazon Kindle which means that you get this comic book for free which makes me give this comic book some extra points for that. 

If you are looking to dive into Star Wars comic book universe, and haven’t done that already than I need to tell you that this comic book is one of the few comic book (I’ve read so far) that is very good for newcomers into the Star Wars comic book world.

I need to admit that the narrative of this comic book feels very authentic to the Star Wars lore, because tat the narrative is incorporating familiar elements while introducing fresh ideas.

The pacing of this comic book is very good. Because it isn’t too fast or too slow, its the right of amount of pacing or at least it was that for me even thou a part of me wished that this comic book could have been longer than it actually was. The pacing allows the action-packed sequences and quieter, character-driven moments to drive themselves in a way. The pacing allows both the action moments and the quieter moments to unpack themselves without forcing them to be faster or slower which I really liked about this comic book. 

The artwork in this comic book is very beautiful and done in an amazing way. Its clear that the artist put a lot of time and effort to giving us as readers a good artwork which the readers would actually enjoy. The attention details in the artwork sort of brings the plot into life in a way on the pages. 

This comic book delves into a lot of character relationships, particularly the bonds between heroes and their struggles. Which really made so much more interested in this comic book because of this aspect of this comic book

At the same time this comic book gave me a big nostalgia to the time when I was 5 or 6 years old and watched the Star Wars movies for the first time, which easily makes me give any star wars comic book, normal book or movie / show extra points for doing that.

Featuring stories by an all-star lineup of creators including writers Kieron Gillen and Gerry Duggan and artist Dustin Weaver, FREE COMIC BOOK DAY: AVENGERS/X-MEN #1 will lay the groundwork for an event that will erupt across the Marvel Universe in 2022 and drastically alter the relationship between Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and mutantkind.

This comic book is a crossover (if you will) between Avengers and X-men but you could also call this comic book for having 2 different stories in it. But we are here for the review, so lets get into the review without making the review longer than it needs to be.

The artwork in this comic book is very dynamic and fun. It captures the heroic essence of both stories in this comic book. And for me the artwork was my favorite part of this comic book for me. But its also important to say that the artwork at times doesn’t compensate for the lackluster storytelling in both of the stories in this comic book.

The narrative in this comic book isn’t the greatest. Because there are a lot of times in this comic book where it feels like the author of this comic book is struggling to find a cohesive narrative that does justice to such iconic characters as we get in this comic book and both of the stories.

The plot in this comic book feels very rushed and disjointed. Because it doesn’t go into much of details of the plot and at the same time it glosses over the parts of the plot which I found to be interesting and fun. At the same time the plot in this comic book lacks the depth and nuance that fans have come to expect from these franchises.

The plot in this comic book also gives us very predictable tropes, and at the same time the plot in this comic book offers us very little in terms of fresh ideas or engaging conflict. 

The easiest way to explain in this comic book is to say that the plot feels very superficial skimming of the surface rather than giving us as the readers a fully developed plot. 

The characters in this comic book feel more like caricatures of themselves rather than be the amazing character we are used to getting in other comic books about them and in the Marvel movies about both the Avengers and X-men.

There is another thing which annoyed me a to about the characters in this comic book. And the thing is that the interactions between characters, lack the chemistry and tension that fans crave.

The dialogues in this comic book feels very forced and unrealistic in a way, its almost like the writer was trying way too hard to give us good and heroic dialogues which would sound badass coming from a superhero but in reality its just not great. 

Both the Avengers and X-men have their rich history, a deeper exploration of their relationships which would easily be a great comic book if only the writer knew what he was doing, but after reading this comic book I gotta say that I dont think that the writer knew what he was doing with this comic book.
