In this original novel set between the events of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV A New Hope, Obi-Wan Kenobi comes to the aid of the residents of Tatooine during his exile. I gotta admit that this one isn’t the best star wars books I’ve read. This book is okay and somehow fun to read because we get to see more of what Obi-Wan was doing on Tatooine after the events of Episode 3. But other than that it has some other fun moments but for the most part. However I gotta admit that this book had disappointed me in a way.

The thing I found most disappointing in this book is that I thought it will be about Obi-Wan, since its named “Kenobi” and it has Obi-Wan on the cover but the majority of this book isn’t even about him. He is in the book yes, but he pops up every couple of pages. And I gotta say that he was in around 20% of this book but the remaining 80% of this book was not about him. But Obi-Wan being at Tatooine is critical to the events in this book but we don’t get to know his thoughts and opinions about the actions unfolding in this book. Because we as the readers we only get very few and short passages from his point of view. Which really got me angry on this book and on the author in a way because I bought and read this book to read about Obi-Wan and not some Tatooine hillbillies.

I gotta admit that this book is more like a desert western rather than a star wars book, even thou it has a lightsaber moment at the end of this book. But I gotta admit that a part of me liked this in a way because for me it was like taking a unique approach to the Star Wars universe, even thou I don’t want to see that happening often when it comes to Star Wars universe.

The pacing in this book was over odd for me personally in this book. Because it was like the first half of this book was building into this big climax and then when we get into the second half of this book we get a new path and the book and the plot itself builds back up again for a new climax and for the real conclusion of the book.

The characters here are meh to be honest, even Obi Wan in this book feels more like a watered down version of himself from Episode 3 which happened very short time before the plot in this book begins. 

The characters are very not memorable, and really I didn’t remember their names after I finished this book which really shows me personally at least how mediocre and average “Joe”s the characters were in this book. 

We follow the plot from the new characters point of view in this book, and because of this a lot of this story isn’t spend on the Obi-Wan we know and love but rather the local people seeing the new guy in town and wondering who is and where he came from. And of course the new guy in town is “Ben Kenobi” which might explain what I said above about Obi-Wan having a feeling like he is a watered down version of himself.

The writing style in this book was very average and not a lot to talk about. It didn’t feel like it was a good choice for a star wars book, because the writing style felt like it would do better in a western themed book rather than a star wars book. It focused heavily on the gun action and the schemes aspects rather than what you would expect from a Star Wars books.

So this book is a collection of 40 short stories which is released what we saw in The Empire Strikes Back.

If you want me to be very honest here, most of those stories in this book were good but they were okay. But surprisingly there were 2-3 very good shorties which really made me be kinder to the stories I didn’t like as much in this book. 

Its important to say that each short stories comes from a less known character from that movie. And we don’t get Luke’s, Leia’s or Han’s perspective but rather from the side characters from the movie. With actually worked very well for this book. Because we get to see the iconic trio through different perspectives rather from their own perspectives. 

To be honest I cant talk about the writing style of this book, because almost all 40 short stories in this book have been written by different authors which of course their own witting styles. 

I think that this book is a nice book to read if you want to expend your star wars knowledge and see the events of The Empire Strikes Back from different perspectives than the iconic trio’s perspectives. But of course this book is very far from being a “must read” in the star wars book universe.

Even thou it might not be my favourite star wars book I’ve read so far. I find myself still loving the star wars books written from a Sith perspective. Because finally we get to see more insights of the dark side rather than always following the Jedis.

As some of you might already know Im not the biggest fan of the Disney star wars version they are forcing us to watch and read now on days after Disney have bought star wars.

However the title of this book is very misleading. Because only 25% of this book is about Darth Vader and the emperor palpatine. And the majority of this book is about the Free Ryloth movement, which really disappointed me because after reading the title I was expecting more Darth Vader and the emperor palpatine action.

The majority of this book centered on the Star Destroyer event. In the beginning it was fun to read about the Twi’lek strategy but after awhile it got very boring because it dragged for far too long which really took the wind out of this book.

This book made emperor palpatine to a very shitty character and very out of character. In this book emperor palpatine didn’t feel like the character we all grow to love over the 6 different movies and various lore and books.

It really annoyed me because all the scenes where we actually got to see emperor palpatine, all he did was stay silent as a rock or have a weird smirk on or laugh as a lunatic.

The majority of the side characters in this book are very flat and boring. To say it simply they are very forgettable. There was nothing unique or special about them. And they didn’t have anything which would make them likeable other than the fact that they were rebels.

I need to say that this book is by far the best star wars book I’ve read so far. 

Action here is amazing. But I wish that this book talk about some specific actions which it went too quickly over. The action here takes place over 20 years after the Battle of Endor. And the follows the OG characters from star wars universe which are of course Han Solo, Leia, Luke and Chewbacca. But we also gets characters who weren’t seen in the movies or series but people who have read books new Jedi order series then they should be very familiar with them. 

Characters here are amazing, because we get to learn more and follow the OG characters which I mentioned above. But also we get new character which I wish we could see in movies or series from the Star Wars universe. Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin which are the children of Leia and Han are very similar to both of them but also they are amazing to read about because in a way it brings back the nostalgia of watching young Luke, Leia and Han in the original trilogy. 

All of the characters in this book have something to them which makes me love them. All of the characters have something very unique to them which males them different from the other characters and which makes them super easy to like them. 

We as well get a new fun but also horrific new villain. And we see the struggle which the heroes have to face in this book.

The writing style here is very good, there were some moments which it went down hill but I still enjoyed it a lot. 

There were some parts in this book which I personally found boring, and that’s explains why I gave it 4 stars instead of the full score of 5 stars.

Another very good book from the star wars universe, which I truly love more and more with each passing year.

This book is very fun and easy to read. And this book is very good for all ages as well no matter if you buy this book for your child or if you want to read it yourself at any age.

This book is very short which means that it is very quick to read. This book and be read in 2 sittings or less if you really sett your mind on it. 

This book is very simple retelling of the second season of The Mandalorian. Seeing the series first and then reading this book after some months is a pure enjoyment since it’s like seeing the second season for the first time but from a different perspective other than TV.

In my opinion this book feels a little bit waker than the first book. But I still loved it. 

The characters are just as amazing as they were in the first book and in the second season. But in a way it feels like getting to know them all over again since you get to read about them rather than watch them on Disney +. 

The writing style is very simple and easy, and it fully can be read by a 10 year old if they have an interested in star wars. 

The ending is as amazing, because of Luke Skywalker showing up to save the day which really gives me a bigger nostalgia.

This book have totally blown my mind because it was so fucking good. And I gotta say that is the best book to start your Star Wars book journey if you haven’t read any star wars books. 

If you have seen the original trilogy which was realised in the late 70s and early 80s you should be able to pin up this book without being confused on what is happening in this book.

In this book we get the OG characters which get even better than the movies because we get to learn more about them and we get to follow their adventures after the original trilogy. 

We get also introduced to some new characters like Mara Jade which is one of my favourite characters from the star wars books because of her journey from the dark side to being an Jedi.

Overall we get amazing and strong characters. And all of them have something unique to them which I love when it happens. 

The plot here is just wow. It is super amazing and I couldn’t pull myself away from the book. There is so much action here and we get a lot of our OG characters in this book which I’ve loved. 

The writing style here is complete amazing. It felt like it was written by George Lucas but of course it wasn’t. I need to give the author extra points for making this book feel like the original trilogy and not like trash which Disney is turning star wars to.

If you love The Mandalorian series as much as I do than you will love this book as well. This book is the novelisations of the first season of the series. 

This book is very quick to read, it’s interesting, its enjoyable and so much more. This book is as well a very easy read because this book is meant for kids between the ages of 9 and 12 if I remember correctly. But the age doesn’t matter as long as you are a star wars fan as I am.

The plot here is the same as in season one of The Mandalorian. Some moments from the series aren’t in the book, but the plot itself is there in this book. Because of some moments from the show aren’t here in the book it makes this book a little less fun than the show but still it is worth the time and money.

The characters here are the same as in The Mandalorian series. But to be honest the characters are better done in the show than in this book but I still loved the characters and their development during the book. 

However there are couple of moments here and there where this book gives us a little extra insight into the characters as it goes on. There aren’t a lots of these moments but they are there.

The writing style in this book is very easy and simple as I’ve mentioned above. Because it was meant for the younger readers of the franchise. But it is good if you want to turn of your brain and do something fun while relaxing after a difficult day.

Another amazing book from the Star Wars Universe. I always loved Star Wars and Leia and at this point Leia is the OG of all time. 

This book takes place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi. And it is about one of many adventure which Leia had. This book needs to get points for making Leia even deeper and better character than what she already was. I always loved Leia as a character and after reading this book I just love her more.

This book is very good because it gives Leia more emotional depth while introducing compelling new characters to the universe which I love.

Of course this book is an YA book so there are some parts of this book which might not fit well with the adults readers but still this book brings more to Leia and makes her even more likeable.

The plot of this book is so fucking good because it involves making difficult decisions on Leia’s part but also it has real consequences to the rebellion and to Leia’s mission.  

The characters in this book are so well done, of course we talked already about Leia but I need to complement the other characters in this book because they were almost as good as Leia. Of course we have known Leia as a character since the first star wars movie back in 1977 while the majority of characters in this book are brand new which means that we don’t know as much about them as the original characters as Leia and Luke. But still they deserve the spotlight time because they were amazing. 

My main problem with this book is that I wish that there were more stormtroopers in it, don’t get it wrong this book has some good stormtroopers moments in it. But I still wished to see more of them in this book even thou it is a book about Leia.

It is a period of civil war. The heroic freedom fighters of the REBEL ALLIANCE have won their most important victory thus far with the destruction of the Empire’s ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR. But the Rebellion has no time to savor its victory. The evil Galactic Empire has recognized the threat the rebels pose, and is now searching the galaxy for any and all information that will lead to the final destruction of the freedom fighters. For the MILLENNIUM FALCON’s crew, who saved the life of Luke Skywalker during the Battle of Yavin, their involvement with the rebels is at an end. Now HAN SOLO and CHEWBACCA hope to take their reward and settle some old debts.

This book is a very entertaining, interesting and fun read. However it isn’t a super advanced read and you don’t need brain power to read and enjoy this book. This book is an also a good read to fill more of the Star Wars timeline.

I would say that this good is a middle school level book because it doesn’t have brutal content in it and it is very easy to understand. While reading this book you can truly turn off your brain for a while but still have good time. 

The plot here was very entertaining. It was very easy and very interesting. It engaged you from the first chapter and it really makes it easy to love more Han Solo and Chewbacca and the relationship which they two have with each other. The plot is very basic but you still will have a good time reading it and at the same time you will be able to shut down your brain and just get into the world of Star Wars.

This book gives us expansion of Han Solo and Chewbacca as characters but also this book gives us expansion of the universe of Star Wars in a way. It had taken us to places which I don’t remember seeing or reading about before but also it introduces new characters to the universe which never gets boring when it comes to Star Wars.

The characters in this book was so incredible. Of course the two main characters in this book Han Solo and Chewbacca are as awesome as always but we also get many otters good characters in this universe which I personally I’m super thankful because it never gets boring discovering new characters in the Star Wars franchise. 

The written style was vert basic and easy but that in a way made this whole book for me so enjoyable because the plot was also very basic and easy. In this way the writing style and the plot made an incredible match in this book.

This book gives us good space fights which I am a big fan of in Star Wars. And this book really shows that Han Solo and Chewbacca are the best fucking pilots to every exist. And Millennium Falcon is the best fucking spaceship in existents which means a lot because there are dozens and dozens of bad ass spaceships in Star Wars.

This book will keep you on edge from start to the end of this book, which all books should be like. I really couldn’t put this book down and I just needed to finish it.

I was super excited to read this book and I had high expectations for this book as for any other Star Wars book and movie and show because it the fucking Star Wars we are talking about. 

This book is a fun little book to read and the cover of this book will make a killing on your bookshelf because it so stunning. But the book itself when you look behind the cover it is just an okay space opera adventure of Luke Skywalker. Of course this book shows a little bit better what relations did Luke, C3-PO and R2-D2 had with each other which really was the best thing about this book for me at least.

This book doesn’t add anything new to the universe of Star Wars nor to the characters here. But he get a nice little adventure which Luke, C3-PO and R2-D2 had after the events in episode 4 but before episode 5. It was very fun to learn about this adventure and it was a decent book but it didn’t engage me so good as some other Star Wars books.

The plot here was good but it was very short so as you might expect we didn’t get a lot of details or a super detailed adventure but for me this book worked fine. This book is from C3-PO and R2-D2 perceptive so it is them telling this story but the reactions which these two have with each other is like the best thing ever. 

The plot of this book is mainly Luke learning on how to use The Force and how to fight with a lightsaber. And of course we get some very good descriptions on what to keep in mind when you are learning to use both the The Force and a lightsaber which really for me was the highlight of this book.

The writing style wasn’t super advanced here, to be honest it was super basic but I didn’t mind it because a book doesn’t need to have an academic writing style in it to still be good and enjoyable. 

In this book we get very really little characters and half off these characters doesn’t get more than a page or two involving them. But Sarco was very interesting character in this book which really could have been explored more in this universe.
