“King Richard II” By William Shakespeare Review

King Richard II banishes Henry Bolingbroke, seizes noble land, and uses the money to fund wars. Henry returns to England to reclaim his land, gathers an army of those opposed to Richard, and deposes him. Now as Henry IV, Henry imprisons Richard, and Richard is murdered in prison.

This play was another one which didn’t work for me. It might be me not liking plays at all or just not caring for the historical fiction about royals.

Reading this play was really a huge torture for me personally just because it was so boring. I didn’t know what was happening in this play during reading it and after finishing reading it because it was so confusing and really I just couldn’t focus on this play because it was torture reading it.

The plot in this play is very slow, boring and the plot us pretty much over by the end of act III which means that William Shakespeare didn’t do a good job on this play to be fully honest here.

The characters here are very boring as well. For the most all of the characters here are very annoying and I just wanted for them all to die a terrible death just because they were getting on my nerves all the time.

I Give Play 1 / 5

“The Taming of the Shrew” By William Shakespeare Review

The ballad tells the story of a marriage in which the husband must tame his headstrong wife. Like Shrew, the story features a family with two sisters, the younger of whom is seen as mild and desirable.

This play in a way is trying to appeal to misogynistic beliefs which really annoyed me a lot to say at least.

The main reason why I hate this play so much is of course the misogynistic bull shit happening and because the plot which is about a man who take a girl and brutally crushes her.

The characters in this play are very annoying for at least and I just had a super hard time reading this play because of the characters being mixed with the bad plot.

The writing style here wis also very bad and for the most part it doesn’t feel like something being written by William Shakespeare

I Give Play 1 / 5

“King John” By William Shakespeare Review

King John goes to war against the French after claims that his nephew should be king instead. John has conflict with the church, orders his nephew’s death, and turns the nobles against himself. In the end, John dies from poison, the French retreat, and his son becomes King.

To be fully honest here I think that historical fiction as a genre doesn’t work for plays because it is another play by William Shakespeare which didn’t work for me. Of course it might be just be being very picky and nothing liking watching or reading plays.

The plot here was very boring and very uninteresting because this whole play was a torture to read. The entire plot here was very flat and to be honest here I didn’t care for it.

The writing style was very weak and very uninteresting as a whole especially if you mix it with bad plot.

The characters here are also very flat and so annoying.

I Give Play 1 / 5

“A Midsummer Night’s Dream” By William Shakespeare Review

Four Athenians run away to the forest only to have Puck the fairy make both of the boys fall in love with the same girl. The four run through the forest pursuing each other while Puck helps his master play a trick on the fairy queen. In the end, Puck reverses the magic, and the two couples reconcile and marry.

Another play by William Shakespeare which didn’t work for me. It might be just be being very picky when it comes to the things I actually like and that I don’t like reading or watching plays in general.

Reading this play was really a torture for me and it really made me want to never read anything else by William Shakespeare ever again.

This one was another love story from William Shakespeare but still it again felt not like a love story but rather a parody of a love story which didn’t lead anywhere for me personally.

The writing style here was super bad and it didn’t feel like something written by William Shakespeare.

I Give Play 1 / 5

“A Life to Kill” By M.R. Hall Review

The garrison town of Highcliff is on tenterhooks waiting for the return of the last British soldiers from war-torn Helmand. Meanwhile, as one of the last remaining platoons prepare to leave its isolated post for the final time, 19-year-old Private Pete Lyons is taken hostage during the night. A patrol sent to rescue him finds itself in a bloody and disastrous fire-fight.

This book is easily the worst mystery book I’ve read so far. And I gotta say as well that I ended up DNF-ing this book because it was pure torture trying to read this book.

The plot of this book was really weak and it didn’t feel like a mystery book but rather as a tragedy book. Because every chapter was from someone else’s perspective and every single chapter had million bad things happening in it. Which really pissed me off because it totally drained my energy.

The plot was really weak and not engaging at all. It just felt like the author wanted to write something to get some money from the sell of it and nothing more than that.

The writing style was pretty good but of course the plot of it made it hundred times worse and the writing style just couldn’t make it better because there were so many things bad with this book.

The characters in this book were super bad as well and it felt like the author just didn’t bother to make characters which the readers would care about. All of the characters in this book were like “this character is named so and so and lets move on to the other characters because this character doesn’t have anything special with it and the character is just the same as the rest of the characters in this book”.

I give this book 1 / 5

“Romeo and Juliet” By William Shakespeare Review

In Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare creates a violent world, in which two young people fall in love. It is not simply that their families disapprove; the Montagues and the Capulets are engaged in a blood feud.

I had high expectations for this play but it didn’t live up to my expectations. To be full honey here I need to say that this play is way to overrated because it isn’t as good as people say.

The plot here was very boring because it was the typical love story ending in a tragedy which really felt super generic and really felt like there was nothing unique in it which would make me like it.

To be fully honest this play isn’t a love story it is rather a mockery of a love story and it was a good example of what not to do when you are writing something which will be published for the whole world to read.

The characters here are super annoying, super flat and super boring. All of the characters in this play made me want to shot myself in the eye because really I just couldn’t stand them.

The writing style here was super bad and it didn’t feel like it was written by William Shakespeare.

I Give Play 1 / 5

“The Mahogany Tree” By William Makepeace Thackeray Review

Once more  another boring poem which didn’t work for me.

Maybe poems aren’t for me because the more poems I read the more I hate poems.

The plot was very boring here and very uninteresting. It was in a way a huge torture reading this poem.

The writing style here was pretty weak it might be just me who is very picky about what I liked and what I don’t like. But in my opinion it was pretty uninteresting.

I Give This Poem 1 / 5

“Mutability” By Percy Bysshe Shelley Review

Yet again another poem which didn’t work for me.

The plot of this poem was super boring because of it I had super hard time trying to focus on this poem while I was reading it.

The writing style was okay for the most part, but still I wasn’t the biggest fan of it.

This poem was is full of old English which really didn’t vibe with the plot which made me dislike this poem even more.

I Give This Poem 1 / 5

“The Sun Rising” By John Donne Review

Another poem which didn’t work for me. It really feels like the more poems I read the more I hate all poems because so far 99% of all poems I’ve read I ended up hating them.

The plot here was interesting but the way the author decided to present it to us made it for me so uninteresting and boring.

The writing style here was kind of lame and super boring which really made me hate this poem even more.

I Give This Poem 1 / 5

“Nurse’s Song” By William Blake Review

Yet again another poem which didn’t work well with me at all.

This entire poem felt very boring and uninteresting which really summons up my entire problem with this poem.

The plot of this poem was pretty much okay but it could have been better in a way. Because it was the generic tragedy theme which most of the poems now on days have.

The writing style here was probably the best thing about this poem but it still was pretty bad and so boring.

I Give This Poem 1 / 5
