“Rhapsody on a Windy Night” By T.S. Eliot Review

This poem depicts a desolate and depressing landscape of contemporary life that is enough to drive one mad. The poem begins with the speaker describing a wandering man walking through a dark street. It is midnight, and memories twist and blur.

So this one is another poem on the list of bad and boring poems I have read recently.

The write style here was not the greatest writing style Ive seen. Its bad and far from something I’ve tend to like or enjoy so that why the rating is so low for me.

The plot here is again about the fucked up and depressing parts of life which I’m really tired of seeing in poems because life is just bad, depressing and sad.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“Go and Catch a Falling Star” By John Donne Review

The poem explores a traditional literary theme of Donne’s era: women’s romantic infidelity. It is expanding on this idea, the speaker says that even if his listener spent an entire lifetime searching for a faithful woman, he wouldn’t find her.

Yet again another bad poem which is as well pretty boring at least in my opinion.

The writing style in this one I super bad for whatever reason which I can’t really pin point.

The plot in this one was bad as well. Because it is about a bitter man who has little to no regard concerning the virtues of women.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“There Is No Frigate Like A Book” By Emily Dickinson Review

This poem is about celebrating the power of literature, marveling that no splendid ship or noble steed has the power a book does to carry people to another world.

This poem is another bad and boring poem which I read.

The plot itself in this poem was boring because it talks about the power of literature even thou im a big fan of literature I hate poems which talk about how great and powerful literature is.

The writing style here is bad it felt like a bad parody of the generic writing style which is in almost every poem which is the average.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“Kubla Khan” By Samuel Taylor Coleridge Review

There are images and expressions in it which are supernatural in character and create an atmosphere of mystery and awe

This poem is one of these poems which I find very bad and very boring.

The plot here is okay but nothing much to talk about because it is ab out the supernatural and I’m not the biggest fan of this topic.

The writing style here seems to me like it really kills the mood of this poem for whatever reason.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“To Brooklyn Bridge” By Hart Crane Review

A seagull takes flight from its perch on the water. It flies past the “chained” shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge and on into the distance past the Statue of Liberty.

And here we go again talking about a bad poem which I completely didn’t like.

I gotta give the author of this poem for having a unique topic of this poem which as you may guess from the tittle is boat the Brooklyn Bridge.

But the plot itself feels like it was told from a wrong point of view, and I had super hard time trying to connect with this poem.

The writing style here feels super bad as well for whatever reason. It feels like the author just didn’t give a fuck about this poem.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“If Everything Happens That Can’t Be Done” By E.E. Cummings Review

This poem is about the things that can’t be spoken in the English language. Things about love, nature, and fate, but the poem in its twisted language and grammar, contains attempts to do so.

And yet again another bad poem which also happens to be super boring for me at least.

The plot itself is about English language which really is a bad idea to have a poem about. I rather want to read a non fiction book about this topic than a poem which really doesn’t have a meaning behind it.

The writing style here was also super bad here and it felt really out of touch for whatever reason.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count The Ways” By Elizabeth Barrett Browning Review

The speaker asks how she loves her beloved and tries to list the different ways in which she loves him. Her love seems to be eternal and to exist everywhere, and she intends to continue loving him after her own death, if God lets her.

So yet again I’ve read another boring poem.

The beginning of this poem was okay but after like 3 lines or so it just ran down the hill. In my opinion it happens a lot in poems and short stories.

The writing style was very bad in this one. As it usually happens in lesser known poems like this one.

The plot in this one was just even more boring then the writing style. Because it is another poem about death and god. In 2022 this topic for poems are way too overused.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“We Real Cool” By Gwendolyn Brooks Review

The poem describes a group of teenagers hanging out outside of a pool hall. It imagines these teenagers as rebels who proudly defy convention and authority.

And this time as well we are talking about another boring poem. However in need to give this poem points for not being about death and god.

I also need give this poem points for describing teens now on days in a very good way because it seems like every single teen wants to be a popular and cool kid for whatever reason.

The writing style was okay but nothing extraordinary yet again.

This poem made some good points but it wasn’t really my vibe so that’s the reason for the low rating.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“Dover Beach” By Matthew Arnold Review

The poem expresses a crisis of faith, with the speaker acknowledging the diminished standing of Christianity, which the speaker sees as being unable to withstand the rising tide of scientific discovery.

The plot in this one is kind of controversial here, but I gotta Gove the author points for some of the things he said in this poem.

This poem makes some very good points about extremism and faith in god or satan depending on what you believe.

The writing style in this one was kind of weak, it felt like this poem was just a draft which got published by a mistake.

To me this poem felt like melancholic and almost nihilistic for whatever reason.

I give this poem 2 / 5

“The Nightmare Song” By W.S. Gilbert Review

I gotta say I had some expectations for this poem which it didn’t live up to. But after all it isn’t the first time a poem or a book didn’t live up to my expectations so got used to feeling disappointed in books and poems.

The writing style here was super bad, it had two or tree parts where the writing style was really shining but overall, the writing style as a whole was super bad.

The plot itself in this poem was super bad. Not as much as it being boring, as much as it was being told in a wrong perspective. It was told in a very boring perspective.

I give this poem 1 / 5
