The lack of a unifying theme or narrative thread results in a scattered reading experience.

Daniel McMillan and Kurt Newton contribute narratives that delve into complex themes, yet they often lack the depth required to leave a lasting impact. The stories present intriguing ideas but are hindered by pacing issues and underdeveloped characters. As a result, I personally found it difficult to connect with the narratives on an emotional level.

The artwork ranges from detailed and atmospheric to abstract and experimental, showcasing this comic book’s versatility. Despite its shortcomings, this comic book succeeds in creating a platform for unconventional storytelling and artistic expression. This comic book’s willingness to experiment with different styles and genres is a strength, offering us as readers a glimpse into the possibilities of adult-themed illustrated content. With more focused storytelling and a stronger editorial direction, future issues could better realize the magazine’s potential.
