I gotta admit here that this comic book is one of the best comic book I’ve read so far this year. But as always I’m gonna explain everything in this review, so if you are interested in hearing my thoughts about this comic book keep reading this review.

The story in this comic book introduces us to a vibrant world filled with magic and adventure. Which I personally found to be very stunning, interesting, engaging and fun to read.

The narrative of this comic book is  engaging and well-paced, which had drawn me into the plot and the imaginative setting of this comic book the moment I started reading this comic book. The storyline creates a captivating and enjoyable experience.

The story in this comic book balances perfectly the action aspect with the humor of the storyline in this comic book which really got me very engaged in the what was happening in this comic book.

The characters in this comic book are well-developed and relatable. Which really made give this comic book extra points for doing.

The main character in this comic book is charismatic and complex, with a clear sense of identity and motivation. Because of this the main character is very likable and made me care about what he went through in this comic book.

When it comes to the side characters in this comic book I gotta say that they added depth to the storyline. Because each of the side characters in this comic book bring their own unique charm and personality to the story.

The artwork in this comic book is very stunning because of the vibrant colors and dynamic illustrations that bring the magical world to life. Which really made me give this comic book some extra points for doing.

The art style in this comic book complements the narrative perfectly, enhancing both the action sequences and the lighthearted moments.

This comic book gives us the themes of friendship, courage, and self-discovery which are perfectly woven throughout the story, providing depth and resonance to the entire comic book.

These themes are thoughtfully explored, adding layers to the narrative and giving us as readers much to thinking on after reading this comic book.

“Every Waking Moment: Preview” By Jeff Dyer Review

10-Page Preview! What would you do if you never had to sleep again? When billionaire Grant Auden develops a new medical procedure that eliminates the need for sleep, the world’s most powerful protectors, The Idealists, undergo the procedure in order to show mankind the benefits of staying forever awake. But as the heroes work tirelessly, reporter Emma Troy discovers an unexpected and alarming side effect – without sleep, there are no dreams.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

This preview sets up a narrative centered around psychological tension and mystery. Which I personally found to be very interesting and intriguing. Because I tend to love stories about the psychological mind fuck mystery and horror.

This preview has a concept which is engaging and has the huge promise of suspense and depth. Which really shown how much potential this preview had.

The storyline is very interesting because it is about all the things I love in horror and mystery stories. But at times the storyline in this preview seems somehow underdeveloped which left me wanting more depth and details to the storyline to fully be interested enough to buy and read the full version of this comic book.

The characters in this preview had a lot of intriguing potential. But the potential in this preview wasn’t used fully in my opinion.

The main character in this preview shows signs of complexity, though their full depth and motivations are not completely explored in the preview.

When it comes to the side characters in this preview, I gotta admit that they were pretty average in this preview. Because they don’t have a lot of personalities which makes them standout as much as the main character.

The writing style in this preview conveys a sense of tension and unease, which work very well with  the narrative’s psychological themes of this preview. The writing style is very clear and engaging though the preview could benefit from more detailed world-building to enhance immersion.

This preview tries to give us the themes of perception, reality, and psychological exploration are touched upon, offering a thoughtful layer to the narrative. While these themes are compelling, their exploration remains surface-level which really left me with mixed feelings if I wanted to read the full version of this comic book.

So will buy and read the full version of this comic book ? Yes I will. It might take some time for me to actually read the full version of this comic book because I have been way too optimistic when creating my TBR list for this year and I don’t know if I get the time to read the full version of this comic book this year. But I will read the full version of this comic book at some point in time.

“Kore #1” By Josh Blaylock & Cory Hamscher & Tim Seeley Review

An eons-old wizard has finally found the tomb of the Mantikore, the universe’s oldest, darkest power. Or has he? Enter Alex Crane, a slacker college student with a crappy job and problems with his girlfriend. When Alex blunderingly releases the ancient evil, he’ll have more to worry about than rent and his love life.

This comic book tries to blend the elements of fantasy and adventure, but in doing so, it misses the mark a lot in my opinion. So if you are interested in hearing my thoughts about this comic book, then keep reading.

The concept of this comic book involves a mix of mystical elements and modern-day settings. But the narrative of this comic book makes the concept of this comic book feel very lacking.

The storyline itself in this comic book feels very disjointed and confusing,  which left me with an unclear understanding of the plot and the direction in which this comic book tried to go.

The characters in this comic book were without sufficient depth or clarity. At the same time, it was very hard to find a character with any form of personality in this comic book because the characters with personalities didn’t exist in this comic book.

The main character lacks any form of personality or something that would make the main character stand out or be memorable to us as readers. The main character didn’t have any backstory or motivations at all in this comic book. This really made it difficult for me to like the main character or be invested in his journey throughout this comic book.

The side characters in this comic book aren’t better than the main character, which I already talked about. All of the side characters in this comic book don’t have any development or personalities of their own. At the same time, none of the side characters in this comic book added anything to the narrative of the comic book or the story as a whole.

The artwork in this comic book had some appealing moments throughout this comic book. But for the most part, the artwork in this comic book felt very cluttered, which I found to be very distracting at times.

This comic book tries to give us the themes of fantasy and adventure, which I mentioned at the beginning of this review. The themes that this comic book tries to give us aren’t explored, and they seem very underdeveloped if the creators of this comic book didn’t know what they were doing.

The potential for thematic depth exists, but the lack of cohesive storytelling prevents these elements from resonating with me personally. Of course, it can be just me being the picky reader that I am. But that’s my thoughts on this comic book.

“Kagagi: The Raven Preview” By Jay Odjick & Patrick Tenascon & Fernando Granea Review

10-Page Preview! Matthew Carver was an average 16-year-old kid until the day he discovered he had inherited an ancient power and responsibility! The age-old evil known as the Windingo has returned, and only Matthew Carver can defeat it!

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

The preview introduces us to Kagagi, who is a superhero rooted in Native American mythology. I personally found it to be very unique, interesting, and enjoyable. At the same time, it has a very culturally rich narrative, which I enjoyed a lot in this comic book.

The storyline in this preview is very compelling and well-paced, effectively setting up an engaging conflict and intriguing backstory that really hooked me into the storyline immediately.

The main character in this preview is a strong and relatable character, which really made me give this preview some extra points for doing so. The main character has a clear sense of identity and purpose. Which really made it very easy for me to like him and actually care about his journey in this preview and in the full version of this comic book.

The character development, even in this brief preview, is immersive, providing insight into the main character’s motivations and struggles.

When it comes to the side characters in this preview, they all have depth to them, which really makes them stand out and make them memorable just as much as the main character in this preview.

The artwork in this preview is very vibrant and dynamic. Which really makes the artwork perfectly complement the mythological elements of the preview.

The artwork is very detailed and atmospheric, bringing the world to life and enhancing the emotional impact of the narrative.

This preview gives us the themes of identity, heritage, and heroism, which really gives the story more depth and fun. Which again made me give this preview some extra points for having. These elements are thoughtfully presented, offering depth and resonance that enrich the overall narrative, which really made me very interested in reading the full version of this comic book.

So, will I buy and read the full version of this comic book? Yes, I will. It might take some time for me to actually read the full version of this comic book because I have been way too optimistic when creating my TBR list for this year, and I don’t know if I will get the time to read the full version of this comic book this year. But I will read the full version of this comic book at some point in time.

“Valiant Next: 2015 Preview” By Various Review

In 2015, the story starts here with VALIANT NEXT – an all-new wave of ongoing series and prestige format projects from some of the premier creative talents in comics today. Beginning in December with THE VALIANT #1 (of 4) by Jeff Lemire, Matt Kindt, and Paolo Rivera, VALIANT NEXT continues with five blockbuster new series in 2015. Following the critically acclaimed, smash-hit success of VALIANT FIRST in 2014, VALIANT NEXT will present six new starting points perfect for readers new and old. Featuring an exciting selection of new series starring Valiant’s biggest, most-demanded heroes alongside all-new, never-before-seen characters, VALIANT NEXT is the NEXT epic evolution of Valiant’s best-selling, fan-favorite publishing line.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

I gotta admit here that the preview has various different snippets from different comic books in the Valiant series. I personally heard a lot of good things about this comic book series, so I decided to read this preview to see if the comic book world of Valiant is worth the time and money.

Each of the snippet from different comic books in the Valiant series really offer a unique and fun flair to the series, which I liked a lot. The diversity in storylines—from action-packed adventures to character-driven narratives—adds excitement and variety.

But each snippet is so short that you can’t fully grasp the depth of each plot. Which is the main reason for the low rating of this preview comic book, even thou I liked it a lot and I will continue the series because of this preview.

This preview introduces a range of intriguing characters, each with distinct personalities and backgrounds, which really hooked me into this series. But while the characters show potential, the limited space means their development is only hinted at, and we don’t see much of it in this preview. But in a way, this gives the series a benefit because it leaves us as readers curious to see how these personalities will evolve in the full series.

The artwork in this preview is consistently high-quality, with each series featuring its own distinctive style. The artwork in this preview effectively captures the tone and energy of each story, enhancing the overall appeal, which drew me into the Valiant universe.

The themes that this preview tries to give us here vary across the different stories, including heroism, identity, and conflict. While the thematic elements are compelling, their exploration is limited by the preview’s format.

So, will I buy and read this comic book series? Yes, I will read this comic book series at some point in time. It might not be this year because my TBR list for this year is very packed, so I don’t know if I will have the time to get into this comic book series this year. But I will buy and read this full comic book series at some point in time.

“Kade: Prodigal Sun – Preview” By Sean Patrick O’Reilly & Chandran & Jason Reeves Review

10 Page preview! In Sunset Canyon, Colorado, there’s trouble in town. When a lone rider enters the town to clean things up, he’s killed by something mysterious. His body is left to rot in the desert…where a wagon train passes it. ‘What’s that, Pa?’ a young boy asks. ‘Nothing we need to bother with,’ says a man. The man’s name is Elias Kade.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

The concept of this preview centers around a mysterious protagonist navigating a world of magic and conflict. Which at first sounded very interesting and intriguing for me personally. But after reading this preview I realized that the narrative lacks clarity and cohesion. The storyline feels fragmented, which left me with an unclear understanding of the plot’s direction.

The main character in this preview had the potential of being a very good main character. But he has very little personality which would make him standout or make him memorable. His motivations and background are not fully explored, making it difficult for me personality to care about his journey throughout this preview.

The side characters in this preview appear very briefly and lack development. The side characters also add very little to the overall narrative or the storyline itself.

The artwork in this preview is the best part of this preview. The artwork is visually striking, capturing the dark, mystical atmosphere of the setting. The artwork is detailed and engaging.

This preview tries to give us the themes of destiny and inner conflict. Which would have been very good themes if the they were developed fully, because in this preview the themes feel very underdeveloped and unexplored to a certain degree.

So will I buy and read the full version of this comic book ? I don’t think I will. The main reason behind this is how poorly this preview was very uninteresting for me personally.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

This preview sets up an intriguing tale, blending elements of mystery and historical fiction with a touch of the supernatural. Which I personally found to be very fun and inserting.

The narrative of this preview is well-paced and successfully creates suspense, which really got me interested in buying and reading the full version of this comic book. Because I found the concept of pairing iconic literary figures in a shared adventure to be both clever and captivating.

The characters of Poe and Phillips are introduced with depth and distinct personalities. Which really made me give this preview some extra points for having. Their dynamic is intriguing, and the preview hints at rich backstories and motivations. This solid character foundation promises further development in the full version of this comic book. Which really makes me look forward to reading the full version of this comic book.

The artwork in this preview complements the story beautifully, capturing the eerie and mysterious tone with detailed and evocative illustrations. The artwork in this preview really enhances the narrative, immersing me personally in the atmospheric setting and bringing the world to life.

It might take some time for me to actually read the full version of this comic book because I have been way too optimistic when creating my TBR list for this year and I don’t know if I get the time to read the full version of this comic book this year. But I will read the full version of this comic book at some point in time.

“Harbinger Renegade #1” By Rafer Roberts & Darick Robertson Review

Anyone you know could become a psionically powered “harbinger” with the potential to reshape the course of human history. Your neighbor. Your boss. Your best friend. Your kids. Six months ago, a secret team of renegade whistleblowers leaked the existence of these extraordinarily dangerous individuals to a stunned world. Today, all across the country, crude, DIY psiot activation attempts have left hundreds brain damaged…or worse. The emergence of a new psiot in a community often leads to riots and mass violence. Gun sales are through the roof. America is terrified of what could happen next. With this revolutionary upheaval now in motion, Kris Hathaway, John “Torque” Torkelson, Faith “Zephyr” Herbert, and Peter Stanchek are about to discover their calling.

I gotta admit that this comic book is one of those comic books which didn’t work for me personally. But of course I will explain everything in this review so if you want to stay tuned for that, keep reading.

This comic book aims to to reintroduce readers to the Harbinger universe with a fresh start. I gotta admit here that this comic book is my introduction to the Harbinger universe and I wasn’t a big fan of this one so I don’t know if I continue this comic book series.

The storyline in this comic book lacks coherence and fails to establish a compelling narrative. The key plot elements in this comic book  are poorly developed, leaving us as readers confused and disengaged.

The characters we get in this comic book had the potential to be good character. But they had no depth to them, no personalities and they had very minimal character development. The characters’s backgrounds and motivations aren’t explored in this comic book. All those things combined makes it very difficult for me to like them or get invested in their journeys.

The artwork in this comic book is the best part of this comic book. Because the artwork is energetic and detailed, with moments of visual flair. The artwork at times feel very cluttered, which I found to be distracting me from the storytelling.

This comic book tries to give us the themes of rebellion and identity are present but not effectively explored. The potential for engaging thematic content exists, but the disjointed narrative prevents these elements from resonating with me personally.

“Miracle: Preview” By David Black & John Howard Review

Special 20-page Preview! Martin Foley, a cynical NYPD cop, investigates a murder in East Harlem. When he arrives, he finds no shooter, no victim. There are blood stains on the floor and thirty witnesses, who all agree on what The killer shot the victim six times in the chest, then ran. A stranger stepped out the crowd, put his hands on the dead man’s face. Like Lazarus, the dead man came back to life. The witnesses are convinced the stranger is an Angel of God.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

This preview had a potential to be very interesting and good. Because the concept of this preview is a blend of mystery and drama which I personally like a lot. But the way it gets presented to us makes it very lacking of a lot of things.

The plot in this preview is very disjointed and confusing. Because the plot has very little coherence or development in it. Which left me confused about the storyline’s direction and purpose.

The characters in this preview are introduced without sufficient depth or background. Because all of the characters in this preview have no personalities to them or something which would make them stand out from the rest of the characters in this preview.

The main character in this preview lacks clear motivations, making it challenging for me to like him or care about his journey throughout this preview or the full comic book.

The side characters are very similarly underdeveloped as the main character in this preview. The side characters in this preview add nothing to the narrative or the plot of this comic book.

The artwork in this preview doesn’t stand out in this preview. Its okay for the most part because the artwork does have some good moments here and there in this preview but for the most part the art does not enhance or clarify the story, leaving the overall presentation lacking.

This preview tries to give us the themes of mystery and transformation but they aren’t explored at all to actually make the themes noticeable and good in this preview. The potential for thematic depth exists, but the fragmented storytelling prevents these elements from resonating with the audience.

So will I buy and read the full version of this comic book ? I don’t think I will. The main reason behind this is how poorly this preview was very uninteresting for me personally.

Genesis wants a love without complications and she’ll engineer the perfect boy to get it. Enter Daniel, Genie’s clockwork creation. Then, Sara thinks she is a girl just like any other, but when the reality that she’s an android hits her, she hits back.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

The concept of this preview is pretty unique and intriguing because it is about a coin-operated character in a sci-fi setting. But the way to concept is presented to us makes it very lacking of clarity and depth.

The narrative of this preview feels very disjointed, with underdeveloped plot points that leave us as readers confused about the story’s direction.

The characters in this preview had the potential to be very good and interesting characters but in reality they lack depth and any form of personalities.

The characters’s motivates and backgrounds are very unexplored and underdeveloped which makes it very difficult for me personally to like them or get invested in their journeys.

The artwork in this preview is the best part of this preview in my opinion. Because the artwork is very appealing and it captures the quirky and futuristic elements of the story which this preview tries to give us.

The artwork in this preview are very vibrant and engaging. The art does complement the concept which this preview tries to give us but doesn’t enhance the overall storytelling of this preview or make me interested enough in this preview to give it a good rating.

This preview tries to give us the themes of identity and technology but the themes are very undeveloped and not fully explored.

So will I buy and read the full version of this comic book ? I don’t think I will. The main reason behind this is how poorly this preview was very uninteresting for me personally.
