10-Page Preview! A top secret US military robot goes rogue and collides with the world of a suburban American family. Turning Tiger brings a tale of explosive action, government conspiracies, and above all, family. But why has the robot chosen this family and their daughter in particular? All will be revealed.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

The concept of this preview hints at an very engaging story which would involve advanced technology and mystery. But the execution of the plot and how it was presented to us is really weak because of the lack in clarity and depth.

The plot in this preview feels very disjointed because it is very underdeveloped and unexplored which felt like the creators of this preview didn’t knew what they were doing when they were creating this preview. Because the whole preview left me with an feeling of the storyline being incomplete like the key details were missing from this preview for us as readers to get the full picture of it. Which really didn’t help me liking this preview a lot or made me want to buy and read the full version of this comic book.

The characters in this preview are had the potential to be very good characters. But I reality they lack a lot of depth, development and personalities which would make them stand out from the rest and make them memorable for us as readers which doesn’t happen.

The main character in this preview doesn’t have a very shallow and weak personality. We don’t get any form of character background or the character’s motivation in this preview which makes the main character feel very unexplored and shallow. Which made it very difficult for me personally to like the main character or care about the character’s journey.

The side characters in this preview are just as weak and shallow as the main character in this preview. The side character doesn’t add anything to the narrative of the plot of this preview.

The artwork in this preview is the best part of this preview because it captures the sci-fi essence with a clean and polished style. The artwork complements the setting but doesn’t enhance the overall narrative clarity.

This preview tries to give us the themes of technology and mystery which were present in this preview. But they felt very unexplored because the themes of this preview were very rushed.

So will I buy and read the full version of this comic book ? I don’t think I will. The main reason behind this is how poorly this preview was very uninteresting for me personally

I Give This Book 2 / 5

“Captain Pixel: Preview” By Shawn DePasquale & Maciej Prozalski Review

10-Page Preview! A new virus has been introduced and it is now up to Captain Pixel, a polar bear and the mysterious wizard, Adobus, to stop this rapidly growing plague.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And im gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

The whole concept of this preview revolves around a digital world brimming with possibilities. I personally found the concept to be very intriguing and interesting. But the narrative of this whole preview was very lacking of clarity and cohesion. Which made it difficult for me to follow the storyline and be interested in it.

The plot in this preview felt very rushed with a lot of key elements undeveloped and unexplored. The plot has a very uneven pacing, because at times it goes very fast making the whole plot undeveloped and unexplored and on other times the pacing was going on and on forever without an end.

The main character in this comic book had a potential to be a very good main character but in reality he lacks depth and any form of personality. His motivates are very unexplored and absolutely no backstory. Which really made it impossible for me to like him or care about his journey throughout this preview or the full version of this comic book.

The side characters in this preview and very similarly underdeveloped and unexplored with absolutely no personalities of their own or backstory. At the same time the side characters aren’t adding anything to the narrative or to the whole story in general.

The artwork in this preview is the best part of this preview in my opinion because it is vibrant and colorful which I really liked. But there are times where the artwork feels very chaotic which really distracts the reader from the main story of this preview.

This preview tries to give us the themes of adventure and technology which had a lot of potential. But in reality the themes of this preview are very unexplored because of the very weak and poor narrative of this preview which doesn’t present the themes of this preview in a good way.

So will I buy and read the full version of this comic book ? I don’t think I will. The main reason behind this is how poorly this preview was very uninteresting for me personally.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

This previews sets the stage for a very good plot with huge potential about a thrilling tale filled with mystery and depth. Which I really liked a lot because the potential was used and the plot is very good even though it has some weak parts here and there.

The plot in this preview is engage and is a good blend of elements of suspense and drama. The narrative is well-paced in this preview. But the down side of this preview is that it is providing just enough detail to intrigue us while leaving us eager for more.

The characters in this preview are introduced with depth and complexity to them. Which I personally found to be very good because this preview actually was able to get me invested in the character journeys of all the characters in this preview.

The preview hints at rich backstories and motivations, promising further development in the full version of this comic book.

The artwork in this preview really dies stand out a lot because of how good it had captured the tone and mood of the story which really played well together.

The illustrations in this preview are very detailed and atmospheric, which in a way are enhancing the suspenseful and dramatic elements of the narrative.

This preview gives us the themes of mystery, identity, and redemption which really played well together with the storyline of this preview. At the same time the themes of this preview offered us both entertainment and substance. The themes of this preview are very thoughtfully presented, adding a layer of depth that resonated with me personally which made me add some point to this preview.

So will buy and read the full version of this comic book ? Yes I will. It might take some time for me to actually read the full version of this comic book because I have been way too optimistic when creating my TBR list for this year and I dont know if I get the time to read the full version of this comic book this year. But I will read the full version of this comic book at some point in time.

“Clay County: Preview” By Bruce Brown & Chip Christell & Adam Mrozowski Review

10-Page Preview! Aliens have conquered the world in search of the mysterious SF-92, a fuel source without equal. Their plot has hit a snag, however, in the form of a handful of rednecks– well-armed, drunk rednecks. The invaders may have met their match in Clay County.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

The concept of this preview revolves around an unusual mix of action and comedy. The premise of it had a lot of potential but the way it was presented to us really lacked clarity and cohesion. And I wasn’t a fan of this because the whole execution of the concept in this preview felt very shallow and like there wasn’t a coherent storyline in this preview.

The narrative of this preview felt very scattered because it had a very inconsistent tone that makes it difficult for me personally to engage fully with the story which this preview tired to give us.

The characters we are introduced to in this preview, have their own quirky personalities which I liked a lot. But at the same time their quirky personalities feel like they lack depth and development.

All of the characters in this preview show a good potential for humor and intrigue. But this potential wasn’t used because all of the characters didn’t have any clear motives and their backstories are not sufficiently explored. Which really made me not fully care about their journeys.

The artwork in this preview provides us with a lively and energetic feel, fitting the comedic tone of the story. But as much as the artwork is appealing, it does have a few issues. The artwork feels cluttered at times, which really didn’t help me with getting interested in the storyline because it was very distracting from the storytelling.

The themes which this preview gives us a bland between adventure and humor. Which could have been very good it those themes were used properly. For the most part the themes feel very unexplored and underdeveloped. And the lack of narrative doesn’t help the themes of this preview to shine through the poor writing of this preview.

So will I buy and read the full version of this comic book ? I don’t think I will. The main reason behind this is how poorly this preview was very uninteresting for me personally.

Under attack, the scientist who created this Final Solution injects it into his son in order to hide it. Now, everyone wants it and will do anything to get their hands on it.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

This preview gives us a very good and compelling storyline which is centered around a unique blend of fantasy and adventure. Which I personally liked a lot because I found it to be very intriguing and interesting.

The concept in this preview gives us in a way a fresh and engaging concept which really worked a lot for me to get me interested in it and get me hooked to this preview.

The narrative of this preview is well-paced. And the narrative does effectively set the stage for what promises to be an exciting journey.

The characters in this preview have a lot of personality and depth to them which makes them really stand out and be memorable.

The main character in this preview stands out with him having a distinct voice and motivation. Which really made me like him a lot.

This one is only preview which means that it only scratches the surface. But at the same time it lays a solid foundation for further character development in full version of this comic book.

The artwork is very good, because it brings the fantastical elements to life with vibrant and detailed illustrations. At the same time the visuals complement the story beautifully, enhancing the overall atmosphere and immersing readers in the world which this preview tries to paint.

But at the same time the storyline of this preview have some issues here and there. Because at times it feels like the scenes we get seem like they belong together and to be a coherent story.

This preview gives us the themes of exploration and self-discovery which I found to be very interesting. Because the themes offer us both entertainment and depth which the full version of this comic book. The themes of this preview offer us a glimpse of the well-executed themes which also have a rich layer which the full version of this comic book has.

So will buy and read the full version of this comic book ? Yes I will. Features the writing of acclaimed Lone Ranger scribe Brett Matthews, cover artist John Cassaday and interior artist Ariel Padilla!

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

The previews gives us the introduction to a modern spin on the Green Hornet and at the same time it is setting up a world filled with crime and justice which I personally found to be very intriguing and interesting.

But I need to admit that the storyline feels a bit rushed, leaving some plot points underdeveloped. Which really disappointed me in a way.

The characters in this preview are okay for the most part. The main characters have a very interesting dynamics and they are pretty compelling as characters. But their backstories and motivations could benefit from further exploration. At the same time there is no character development happening in this preview.

When it comes to the side characters in this preview they have no personalities or anything that makes them standout. And because of this they are very forgettable and they don’t add anything to the plot of this preview.

The artwork in this preview is pretty fun and good. Because it effectively conveying the action-packed scenes and urban atmosphere which this preview tries to give us. The illustrations complement the narrative well, enhancing the overall experience with a gritty, stylish flair.

This preview gives us the themes of justice and vigilantism. And for the most part these themes are well-presented but at times they feel very unexplored and seem shallow at times.

So will I buy and read the full version of this comic book ? Maybe. My list of all the books and comic book is already very long but if I find some time to squeeze in the full version of this comic book then yes I will read it.

“Ezra: Evoked Emotions #1” By Sean Patrick O’Reilly & Master Rove Review

Normally Ezra is rogue mercenary for hire…but she has just embarked on a quest that becomes a personal mission to exorcise the demons in her closet from a long, long time ago.

I need to admit here that this comic book has a very promising concept. Because it focuses on magical elements and emotional depth.

But the way the concept is narrated and executed leaves the whole concept very lacking. Because one of the main things with this comic book is that the plot feels disjointed, with abrupt transitions and underdeveloped storylines which really didn’t help me liking this comic book a lot. Because it left me confused about the overall direction.

The main character in this comic book had a lot of potential to be a very good main character. But in reality she has almost no character development and she has absolutely no personality at best. Her motivation as well as her personality is very unexplored which made it hard for me personally to be invested in her journey or care about her as a character.

The side characters appear in this comic book very briefly and have absolutely no personalities or anything which makes them standout and be memorable for us as readers. At the same time the side characters don’t bring anything to the plot of this comic book which really made me question what was the point of having all of the side characters if they don’t help carry the plot forward.

The artwork in this comic book was pretty stunning because it captures the mystical atmosphere effectively, with vibrant and detailed illustrations. But the panels sometimes feel cluttered, which can did a few times detract me from the storytelling.

This comic book tries to give us the themes of magic and emotional exploration. But in reality the themes which this comic book gives us are very underdeveloped and unexplored which really made me think about how the creators of this comic book had planned this comic book. The potential for exploring complex emotions and magical dynamics is evident but remains largely untapped due to the fragmented narrative.

I Give This Book 2 / 5

“Champions of the Wild Weird West #1” By Michael David Nelsen & Erik Hendrix Review

Part 1: The honor of a samurai, the mysticism of the Native American Culture, and a whole heck of a lot of Old West Action. When a fallen samurai is drawn to the United States to save his wife-to-be and her father, he is drawn into a plot much more complex than a simple rescue. Meeting up with an adventurer, his Indian financial advisor, a mercenary, and a former priest, they set off on a quest to save the West from the strange and unimaginable. Zombie Indians, mystical beings, and mad science are just a few of they must face on their quest to save themselves, those they love, and the whole of the Old West.

The concept of this preview was very interesting for me personally because it is sort of a mix between the Wild West with fantastical elements. Which I found to be very intriguing and inserting.

But the way the concept is pretend to us, really destroys the whole concept and potential the plot had. Because the whole narrative and plot is very weak and the storyline feels very fragmented and difficult to follow.

The plot seems very undeveloped which left me with an incomplete understanding of the plot. The plot in this one feels like the writer of this comic book didn’t knew what he was doing with this comic book.

The characters we get in this comic book are very one-dimensional and with very minimal personalities to them.

The protagonists in this comic book are introduced with the bare basics of personalities and with almost no backstory to them. Which makes it very hard for me personally to actually like them or care about them.

The side characters in this comic book seem for the most part okay if you don’t think about them. Because all of the side characters in this comic book have very limited development and fails to add significant depth to the story.

The artwork in this comic book complements the quirky, adventurous tone of the narrative, and for the most part is very good looking. To be honest the artwork in this comic book was my favorite part of this comic book.

But the artwork still has some issues like some of the panels feel very cluttered which only adds more confusion for me personally.

The themes which this comic book tries to give us are for the most part okay. Because the themes of this comic book are adventure and the clash between the fantastical and the historical which I liked. But those theme seem for the most part very unexplored and underdeveloped.

“The Wingman: Preview” By Sean Patrick O’Reilly & Asta Gunnlaugsdottir Review

10-Page Preview! Two best friends, Hank and Max, have one mission in life – picking up women. Hank, more confident and good looking than Max, is the stud of the two while Max is mostly relegated to wingman status. One day, lightning (literally) strikes and alters Hank’s chemistry such that he’s no longer able to pick up women. However, women now find any man within a few feet of Hank irresistible thus Max instantly goes from Wingman to Cassanova. Hank and Max both struggle in handling this role reversal on their way to finding true love.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

This comic book has a concept which at first seems pretty engaging and with the potential of humor and action. But the way the way it is narrated and presented to us makes the whole concept very lacking like it wasn’t fully thought through before creating this comic book.

To be very honest here the plot in this comic book feels very scattered and unfocused which made it hard for me to fully grasp the main storyline and be interested enough to actually give it a good rating.

The characters we get in this comic book feel very shallow. Because they have very little depth to them and they don’t have form for backstory to them. Which really makes it seem one-dimensional.

The main character in this comic book lacks personality as does the rest of the characters in this comic book. Which makes it very hard to actually care about the character’s journey

All of the characters we get in this comic book are very underdeveloped, providing little context or intrigue to the comic book.

The artwork in this comic book is very fun because it is colorful and lively. Which easily was my favorite part about this book. But the artwork those also have some issues like struggling to compensate for the narrative weaknesses.

The artwork in this comic book tries to bring energy to the story, they aren’t enough to clarify or enhance the disjointed plot.

This preview tries to gives us the themes of camaraderie and adventure. But in doing so the themes of this preview feel very unexplored and shallow like the creators of this preview didnt fully think through everything before creating this one.

The narrative of this comic book feels very incoherent, because of how fast scenes change in this preview. Which really didn’t help liking this preview more than I already did.

I personally wont be buying and reading the full version of this comic book because this preview didn’t get interested enough to actually do that.

“Olive Peril: Preview” By Laurel Shelley-Reuss Review

20-Page Preview! When the CEO of the largest soap manufacturer in the United States dies, her only daughter, Olive, is left with quite the she can marry her mother’s Evil Corporate Lawer, or she can put her fate in the hands of a ghostly child who claims to know a way out of Earth.

Let me start this review by saying that this one is just a preview for the entire comic book. And I read it because I wanted to see if the full comic book was worth the money and time I would spend on it. And I’m gonna give you the answer for that at the end of this review.

This preview tries to set up a potentially intriguing storyline centered around the protagonist. The concept itself is very intriguing for me because it is a mix between mystery and adventure which I really liked. But the narrative which this preview takes lacks clarity and depth.

The plot in this preview feels pretty disjointed, which makes it difficult for me personally to follow and become invested in the plot in this preview. Which really doesn’t help with making me interested enough ti buy and read the full version of this comic book.

The main character in this comic book, is pretty good character but she feels very underdeveloped in this preview. She feels underdeveloped because she has a very shallow personality and she doesn’t have a lot of backstory.  The main character’s motivations and personality are not fully explored which makes it pretty hard for me to really like her or be invested in her story.

When it comes to the side characters, I need to say that they appear very briefly in this preview and they don’t much depth or context to the story. Which really doesn’t make sense on why they are in this preview if they don’t anything to the story.

The artwork in this preview is visually appealing, with a style that complements the adventurous tone of the narrative. Which for me personally was the best part of this preview because of the fact that the artwork in this preview are very engaging and very nice looking.

The themes which this preview tries to give us feel pretty unexplored which really disappointed me. Because the preview was trying to give us the themes of adventure and self-discovery which I tend to love in books and comic book. But this preview only hints at those themes but in reality they feel very shallow and unexplored.

I personally wont be buying and reading the full version of this comic book because this preview didn’t get interested enough to actually do that.
