“The Return of the King” By J.R.R. Tolkien Review

The armies of the Dark Lord Sauron are massing as his evil shadow spreads even wider. Men, Dwarves, Elves and Ents unite forces to do battle against the Dark. Meanwhile, Frodo and Sam struggle further into Mordor, guided by the treacherous creature Gollum, in their heroic quest to destroy the One Ring.

This book is good, very good but it also have many shitty and draggy description and it is mixed with very slow moments which felt like a huge waste of space in a way.

There was a lot of action in this book but it felt like it was extended too much in a way which really made be uninterested in it because it was dragged out too much and every detail in this book was described too much for me at least.

This book was dull and hard to follow most times which really made me uninterested in this book.

The plot was okay here, there was even a little love triangle there which I liked a little bit. I feel like the plot was a decent plot but it could have been better because I had a really hard time trying to connect with the plot. And the plot itself had many moments were it was simple boring and uninteresting.

Of course J.R.R. Tolkien had finished the amazing series on a high note which we need to give him credit for. The end of this trilogy was satisfying but as I’ve said above it could have been better if it was shorter.

The characters were very good and I loved them all. But too be honest the character development felt for me like it didn’t exist because they were making the same mistakes in this book as they were doing in the first book.

The writing style here was amazing it really felt like it was the hight of every fantasy book. Which really made me give this book some extra points.

The ending was pretty much 2 chapters too long at least and it really felt like torture finishing this book because of these 2 last chapters.

I Give This Book 3 / 5

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: Parts One and Two” By J.K. Rowling Review

It was always difficult being Harry Potter, and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and a father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son, Albus, must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

Another great book from the Wizarding Word. Even thou it isn’t a book book and instead it is a Play which was first shown in 2016 in London. But it is still amazing and incredible as the rest of the Harry Potter universe books.

The plot wasn’t the greatest thing I’ve seen because there were a lots of anticipation build which would lead to nothing. So that’s what made me most disappointed in this book but this book had the biggest Harry Potter vibe to it because it was about friendship, adventure, the battle between good and evil and it was also about the fact that the people you expect less to be non your side might in fact have been on your side from the beginning.

The main characters of this book weren’t Harry, Ron and Hermione but rather Albus Severus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy. But of course we get a lots of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Draco in this book but they aren’t in the spotlight of this book.

We also got some Severus Snape and Professor McGonagall in it which made so fucking glad to see them. And it defeilty reminded me why Severus Snape is my all time favourite character in the Wizarding World.

Albus Severus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy weren’t the same amazing characters as Harry, Ron and Hermione but I still liked them because Albus Severus Potter was just like Harry in a way and Scorpius Malfoy was a much kinder version of Draco, but we all know that Draco is the OG here.

I felt like Albus Severus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy would be so much better characters if they were given more time for us to like them but also more time to develop themselves as independent characters rather than the kids to Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy.

This book was cute, sweet, fun and it reminded me why I love Harry Potter books so much as I do but it wasn’t the same as 7 original books. Because it had the Harry Potter vibe to it but it leaked the adventure, danger, fun, discovering yourself part about it as the 7 original books had for me at least. This book had the charm of the original books but it didn’t have the strength to the original books.

Of course this book is a script of the play so it didn’t have the same aspects as the original books so it can’t be compared with them in a way. But after reading this book it made want to see that play in real life for some reason.

“Moving Target: A Princess Leia Adventure” By Cecil Castellucci Review

Reeling from their disastrous defeat on Hoth, the heroic freedom fighters of the REBEL ALLIANCE have scattered throughout space, pursued by the agents of the sinister GALACTIC EMPIRE. One rebel task force protects PRINCESS LEIA, bearing her in secrecy from star to star. As the last survivor of Alderaan’s House of Organa, Leia is a symbol of freedom, hunted by the Empire she has opposed for so long.

Another amazing book from the Star Wars Universe. I always loved Star Wars and Leia and at this point Leia is the OG of all time.

This book takes place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi. And it is about one of many adventure which Leia had. This book needs to get points for making Leia even deeper and better character than what she already was. I always loved Leia as a character and after reading this book I just love her more.

This book is very good because it gives Leia more emotional depth while introducing compelling new characters to the universe which I love.

Of course this book is an YA book so there are some parts of this book which might not fit well with the adults readers but still this book brings more to Leia and makes her even more likeable.

The plot of this book is so fucking good because it involves making difficult decisions on Leia’s part but also it has real consequences to the rebellion and to Leia’s mission.

The characters in this book are so well done, of course we talked already about Leia but I need to complement the other characters in this book because they were almost as good as Leia. Of course we have known Leia as a character since the first star wars movie back in 1977 while the majority of characters in this book are brand new which means that we don’t know as much about them as the original characters as Leia and Luke. But still they deserve the spotlight time because they were amazing.

My main problem with this book is that I wish that there were more stormtroopers in it, don’t get it wrong this book has some good stormtroopers moments in it. But I still wished to see more of them in this book even thou it is a book about Leia.
