“The Red Wheelbarrow” By William Carlos Williams Review

By declaring that “so much depends upon” the wheelbarrow, then, the poem implies the importance of agriculture and farm laborers.

If you think that every poem has major meaning behind every line then grab this poem and read it because then you will connived that you were wrong in these believes. What I’m trying to say is that this poem has nothing interesting, exciting, enjoyable or meaningful in it. This poem is a huge killjoy.

The writing style is very, very poor in this one. And it seems like it was written by a drunk and druged up monk with mental disabilities.

The plot in this poem isn’t better from the writing style because the plot as well feels like it was thought of by the same monk. Which really speaks for itself here don’t it?

I give this poem 1 / 5

“The Genius Of The Crowd” By Charles Bukowski Review

So finally we are talking about a poem which I truly enjoyed and liked.

I gotta say that this one was my first poem by this author and so far I’ve enjoyed his work.

The writing was good but it had the potential to become better than it actually was.

The story itself was amazing, it totally sucked me into it and I just couldn’t put this poem down.

It was a super enjoyable read and this poem is awesome. I really wish that all poems could be like this one. I really had a fun time reading this one.

This poem creates some very good points like “those who preach peace do not have peace” and like “those who preach peace do not have love”.

I give this poem 5 / 5

“The Stones” By Sylvia Plath Review

Here we are again taking about one of Sylvia Plath’s poems and this time it is “The stones”.

The story in this poem was super bad and I didn’t even bother to try to connect with it because it was so bad and bizarre.

The writing style here was okay, but I really didn’t pay attention to it because the story distracted me because it was so bad.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud” By William Wordsworth Review

The narrator talks about wandering like a cloud floating above hills and valleys, he encountered a field of daffodils beside a lake. The dancing, fluttering flowers stretched endlessly along the shore, and though the waves of the lake danced beside the flowers, the daffodils outdid the water in glee.

So again we are talking about a bad poem. I gotta sat that I’m becoming tired reading all these bad poems.

The writing style here is bad. And somehow it has the generic writing style which is in every bad poems.

The plot here is also bad. It wasn’t that unique because there were poems which had the same or almost the same plot as this one has.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“The Lake Isle of Innisfree” By W.B. Yeats Review

The poem is about an actual place near the coast of Ireland, the Lake Isle of Innisfree, which is a very small, uninhabited island on the lake Lough Gill, in County Sligo.

I gotta say that this poem had the potential to be a 3 star poem but it didn’t use that potential.

The plot itself was so boring that you can’t even imagine. It might be something to do with me being harsh with poems but come on I can’t stand a bad plot no matter if it is a book or a poem or a movie.

The writing style here was bad, which really even more destroyed the poem for me.

I give this poem 1 / 5

“If I Told Him, A Completed Portrait of Picasso” By Gertrude Stein Review

So this one surprised me because it turned out to be a diss poem against Pablo Picasso.

The story in this poem wasn’t that unique but still I found myself enjoying it at times but still it could have been better.

There were times where this poem was really interesting but overall it was boring and I dint care for it.

The writing style here was super bad which really pissed me off because it really took the wind out of this poem.

I give this poem 2 / 5

“To His Coy Mistress” By Andrew Marvell Review

This one is a metaphysical poem in which the speaker attempts to persuade his resistant lover that they should have sexual intercourse. He explains that if they had all the time in the world, he would have no problem with their relationship moving this slowly.

The plot in this one was kind of disappointing because it had the potential to be much better than it actually was. However the plot was okay but nothing too good nor too bad.

I liked the idea behind the plot which is why I’m giving this poem extra points for that.

The write style was probably the best thing in this whole poem because it did really shine and I love that.

I give this poem 3 / 5

“Sonnet 75” By Edmund Spenser Review

This poem is about the power of poetry itself. And the narrator of this poem wants his beloved to be remembered forever, even as she argues that such notions are vain and pointless; she’s a human being, and as such her name and memory will one day disappear along with her mortal body.

This one is a fun little poem which for the most part is okay but nothing extraordinary.

I didn’t have any expectations for this poem because I never heard about Edmund Spenser before

The plot of this poem is okay for the most part but it didn’t really speak to me and I had hard time trying to connect with it.

The writing style was okay for the most part but there were times were the writing style ran down the hill however there were also moments were the writing style really shine.

I give this poem 3 / 5

“Poetry” By Marianne Moore Review

This poem is about an investigation into the mysterious art of poetry. At times ironic and serious, Moore considers the opposing methods by which poets convey the world: intellection and imagination.

I gotta be honest here because this poem was really surprised me a lot. It had surprised me in a good way which I really didn’t expect to happen.

The plot here was enjoyable and super interesting. And it for the most part gets the full score when it comes to the plot.

The writing style here was kind of okay here but it could have been much better than it acutely was.

The vibe here is scientific but also has it had the gothic vibe to it which again im a big fan off.

I give this poem 4 / 5

“To a Skylark” By Percy Bysshe Shelley Review

This poem is an ode to the “blithe” essence of a singing skylark and how human beings are unable to ever reach that same bliss. The poem begins with the speaker spotting a skylark flying above him.

I gotta say that this poem is actually a poem which I truly love. Because it sort of compare birds with humans.

The plot here was amazing because the beginning is about the bird flying above the author and then the plot goes onto comparing humans to birds.

The writing style here was amazing and super fun to read. I think that the writing style in this poem really added a lot to the poem. And made me like the poem as much as I did.

And I gotta say that this poem is also kind of unique which I’m giving it points for.

It has also this old time vibe to it which I’m really a big fan off. And it has some very gothic vibe to it which I also love a lot.

I give this poem 5 / 5
