It’s not everyday you find yourself in combat with a half-lion, half-human. But when you’re the son of a Greek god, it happens. And now my friend Annabeth is missing, a goddess is in chains and only five half-blood heroes can join the quest to defeat the doomsday monster. Oh, and guess what? I’m still not aboard with this series even after being half way through this series. To be honest I am not the biggest fan of greek mythology so there are couple of things which annoys me or which I find confusing and boring.

I continue to not be the biggest fan of the characters I was in the first 2 books in this series. Because there something in them which doesn’t seem right to me. Of course the characters are very good in this series but I just me being very picky.

My main problem with the characters in this series is that there isn’t character development. They are exactly the same as they were in the beginning of book one.

This book had an small improvement in action from the previous 2 books. The action in this book is more interesting and enjoyable but there are still something missing in my opinion. 

So far in this series I feel like there are the same things happening. And that there are the same mistakes made by the main characters which really made me want to bang my head against a tree. 

Of course we get introduced more new characters in this book but it feels like we get the new characters introduced just to forgot about them in the next chapters and for them to never come back again in this series.

When it comes to descriptions there could have been longer and more detailed in my opinion at least.

The plot here was very slow at the beginning and at the end. And the middle part in this book was too fast for me to fully enjoy it. For me personally it was too fast and I couldn’t keep my mind around everything which was happening. The previous 2 books in this series have the same problem.

The writing style here was okay. To be honest it was probably my favourite thing about this book. In a strange way it made me like this book much more.

The heroic son of Poseidon makes an action-packed comeback in the second must-read installment of Rick Riordan’s amazing young readers series. Starring Percy Jackson, a “half blood” whose mother is human and whose father is the God of the Sea, Riordan’s series combines cliffhanger adventure and Greek mythology lessons that results in true page-turners that get better with each installment.

To be honest this second book in the series of Percy Jackson was weaker than the first book in this series. But it still enjoyed it in a way.

The plot here was a little bit all over the place and at times I had hard time to keep track of everything which was happening.

Monsters here were amazing, I really enjoyed reading about them. They made this book so much better for me.

There is a lot of action in this book which I’ve enjoyed a lot. There was something always happening.

In this book I came to enjoy the Percy’s narration of the events. Which it really surprised me.

I continue to not be the biggest fan of the characters in this series. Because there something in them which doesn’t seem right to me. Of course the characters are very good in this series but I just me being very picky.

The ending here was very slow which made me disappointed in a way. Because after reading all of the actions in this book the very slow ending really took the wind out of it for me.

Percy Jackson is a good kid, but he can’t seem to focus on his schoolwork or control his temper. And lately, being away at boarding school is only getting worse – Percy could have sworn his pre-algebra teacher turned into a monster and tried to kill him. When Percy’s mom finds out, she knows it’s time that he knew the truth about where he came from, and that he go to the one place he’ll be safe. She sends Percy to Camp Half Blood, a summer camp for demigods (on Long Island), where he learns that the father he never knew is Poseidon, God of the Sea. Soon a mystery unfolds and together with his friends—one a satyr and the other the demigod daughter of Athena – Percy sets out on a quest across the United States to reach the gates of the Underworld (located in a recording studio in Hollywood) and prevent a catastrophic war between the gods.

I had high expectations for this book but to be honest with you, this book didn’t live up to all of them.

The plot here was very good, very interesting, entertaining and engaging. But somehow I couldn’t get fully in there. I was never a big fan of greek mythology which means that I didn’t understand a lot of the greek relating things. 

The plot here was a very good mix of being funny at times but also being sad at times. Which really made me add some points.

There is a lot of action in this book which I’ve enjoyed a lot. There was something always happening.

The ending here could have been better if it had ended up at a cliffhanger. The ending over all was very slow which really made me disappointed.

The universe of Percy Jackson is very simple and easy. Almost too simple for my taste at least. Which might be the reason why I don’t enjoy this series as much as I wanted to.

The writing style here was amazing. To be honest it was probably my favourite thing about this book. In a strange way it made me like this book much more. 

The characters here were very good but I wasn’t the biggest fan of them I don’t know why. They make some stupid decisions sometimes which is part of my problem with this book.

Elise Beaumont is cursed. With every touch, she experiences exactly how her loved ones will die. And after her brother’s death—a death she predicted but was unable to prevent—Elise is desperate to get rid of her terrible gift, no matter the cost. Claire Montgomery also has a unique relationship with death, mostly because she’s already dead. Technically, anyway. Claire is a vampire, and she’s been assigned by the Veil to help Elise master her rare Death Oracle powers. At first, Elise is reluctant to work with a vampire, but when she predicts a teacher’s imminent murder, she’s determined to stop the violent death, even if it means sacrificing her own future to secure Claire’s help.

This book was surprisingly good, I personally expected it to be another lame YA book about vampires. But it turned out to be a pretty decent and enjoyable read.

The plot here wasn’t a masterpiece but it was good. The plot in this book is interesting, enjoyable at times and it holds you engaged in the book.

In this book we get two perspectives from the two main characters which are Elise Beaumont and Claire Montgomery. Which I really like because we get two perspectives of the same story. 

The characters here were okay, I personally didn’t care for them. Because they are typical YA characters. 

The love story here feels like one of these instagram love stories which are insufferable and very lame.

The writing style is very boring at times. Which really toke away the fun from this book at times.

This book is a quick read, because it only has 350 ish pages.

Bethany Lu Carlisle is devastated when the tabloids report actor Keanu Reeves is about to tie the knot. What?! How could the world’s perfect boyfriend and forever bachelor, Keanu not realize that making a move like this could potentially be devastating to the equilibrium of…well…everything! Not to mention, he’s never come face to face with the person who could potentially be his true soulmate—her.

To be fully honest here this book was all over the place, and in a way it was very strange.

If you are looking after a book where you can turn your brain off completely then this book is very relevant. Because the plot is very easy and at times this book gets interesting. 

This book gave me the biggest stalker vibe, since the main plot in this book is about a 30 + years old fangirl who is obsessed and chasing Keanu Reeves in the hope of marrying him. And if you don’t classify this behaviour as stalking I don’t know what will.

The main characters in this book are well over 30 years of age, but they act like high schoolers which was really annoying, because full grown adults acting as teenagers isn’t a good sign of stable mental health. 

However the plot was fun at times, and it defiantly was interesting to read it even thou it was far from a good plot.

The characters here were pretty generic young adult characters. They are very cheesy, awkward and embarrassing but also none of them have the ability of logical thinking. 

The writing style in this book was okay, but it to be fully honest here it was weak and at times very weak and boring. 

The premise of this book was fun because it was very unique but the way it was done it just didn’t work out that well. 

However this book was enjoyable and interesting as long as you don’t analyse it. It is also a really quick read.
