It describes a handsome young man and his beautiful wife, who gradually degenerate into a shopworn middle age while they wait for the young man to inherit a large fortune. Ironically, they finally get it, when there is nothing of them left worth preserving.

I love this book a lot. In my opinion it doesn’t live up to “the great Gatsby” which is my favourite book of all time, but this book is for course one of the best books I’ve read last year.

This book takes place in New York during the “Jazz Age” which I find myself to love more and more to read about. 

The fact that this book is F. Scott Fitzgerald second novel is mind-blowing to me because it feels like it was written by a author with huge experience in writing novels. Which really makes me love this book even more.

The writing style here is amazing, it felt like the author knew exactly what words to use to grab my attention and interested and to not let them go until the very end.

All of the characters in this book are incredible. Because they feel like real human being who were alive during the “Jazz Age” in New York City. All of the characters in this book have huge dept to them and they all have something very unique about them.

The ending in this book was very unexpected but at the same time it was very satisfying because it really gave us what the entire book was building up to. 

This book portrays the “jazz era” very realistically and without restraint and embellishments.

The plot in this book is very sad and depressing. And the fact that the Gloria and Anthony were heavily inspired by the author’s life and his wife, makes it even more brutally sad.

Persuasion is Jane Austen’s last completed novel. She began it soon after she had finished Emma, completing it in August 1816. She died, aged 41, in 1817; Persuasion was published in December that year (but dated 1818). Persuasion is linked to Northanger Abbey not only by the fact that the two books were originally bound up in one volume and published together, but also because both stories are set partly in Bath, a fashionable city with which Austen was well acquainted, having lived there from 1801 to 1805.

This book is quite an okay book from Jane Austen. Its not as good as some of her other books. But it is still pretty okay.

This book is short and quick to read. And it is interesting and enjoyable. If you are looking for a book to read which is slow and relaxing to read then this book is your go-to here.

The plot here talks about the main character being in love man who happens to be captain. Which is the plot for every book written by Jane Austen. But her books are cringey as the modern day romance book. Which is the reason why I like Jane Austen so much. But the main character is forced to marry someone else. And when she meets the captain again years later all her feelings for him come to live again.

There was something unique about this book which made me give this book some extra points. This book really became clued to my mind after I finished it. 

The characters here was pretty good, even thou it they weren’t the best character I’ve seen, I still had some good time with them.

The writing style here was pretty good and I love it. Jane Austen was a very good author and you can truly see it in her writing style the most.

Great Expectations charts the progress of Pip from childhood through often painful experiences to adulthood, as he moves from the Kent marshes to busy, commercial London, encountering a variety of extraordinary characters ranging from Magwitch, the escaped convict, to Miss Havisham, locked up with her unhappy past and living with her ward, the arrogant, beautiful Estella. Pip must discover his true self, and his own set of values and priorities. Whether such values allow one to prosper in the complex world of early Victorian England is the major question posed by Great Expectations, one of Dickens’s most fascinating, and disturbing, novels.

This book really surprised me a lot because I was expecting to not like this one, but I found to actually be a pretty decent book. Even thou I am not the biggest fan of this book I still found it enjoyable and interesting at times.

It’s important to say that this book is far from Charles Dickens’s best work, however it isn’t the worst.

The plot here was quite interesting to be fully honest here, and there was something unique about it which really caught my attention. Even thou I need couple of breaks from this book while reading it, I still found it to be pretty good read.

The characters here were pretty good to be honest. I needed up liking some of them but at the same time there were characters which I totally didn’t care about. Which I can accept if there were some good characters as Philip “Pip” Pirrip, Estella and Miss Havisham. 

The writing style was very good in this one. I didn’t expect it to be that good but it was. This fact made me interested in reading more of Charles Dickens books.

After reading this book I understand why people love this book so much even thou I am far from loving this book.

I found this book to be very enjoyable and interesting at times which I haven’t expect happening but of course it did.

Ive heard a lot about this book so I have finally decide to read it. And I gotta say that I really disappointed be very much.

The plot here makes some good points about human behaviour. But other than that the plot for me personally was super boring and I really didn’t care for the plot. And I just ended up DNF-ing this book after having read over 60% of it.  The plot here have taken me back to high school and reminded me why I hated school so much because it felt like it a super boring and extremely long psychology lesson. 

The characters here feels like they were taken out of like 1920s and I just couldn’t find anything I could relate them with. They all felt like they were two characters split into many characters. 

There is a lot of use of the “N word”. And I just think it was way overused of that “N word”. To be honest it really made me annoyed with this book with that overusing of this single word. 

The writing here is okay for the most part. But the edition I got is filled with old English and I found it super annoying in this book.

Mansfield Park is considered Jane Austen’s first mature work and, with its quiet heroine and subtle examination of social position and moral integrity, one of her most profound.

In my opinion this book gotta be the best book written by Jane Austen so far. Of course I didn’t read all of her works yet.

The plot here is super interesting, fun, enjoyable and overall super amazing. I read this book in one day because I couldn’t pull myself away from the plot and this book because I was so engaged in this book which really surprised me a lot. 

The writing style here was amazing, Jane Austen truly showed that she is one of the best authors of the past. After reading this book I truly understand the full hype with Jane Austen and her works. 

The characters here were super amazing. I would love to meet them if it was possible. I really loved all of the characters in this book. Because all of the characters had something unique to them which made them different from the rest of the character. Which I personally love when it happens.

Since its immediate success in 1813, Pride and Prejudice has remained one of the most popular novels in the English language. And Jane Austen’s radiant wit sparkles as her characters dance a delicate quadrille of flirtation and intrigue, making this book the most superb comedy of manners of Regency England.

I gotta say that this book was okay. I didn’t have a lot of expectations for this book but it still disappointed me in a way because I wanted to like much more this book than I’ve did after reading it. 

The plot here is again too much about romance in a way, which I personally aren’t the biggest fan of. But if we look away from the romances in this book than I found myself enjoying the plot in this book a lot and I found it to be interesting and enjoyable read overall. 

This book is mostly a character study of 19th century England and of its societies, courtships etc. I am a big fan of that part of this book because I found it super interesting. 

The characters here was likeable, and I liked them a lot. There were couple of times were I was annoyed with the characters but still I’ve liked them. The moment were one of the female characters rejected a man’s proposal but then she found out that he is rich and he instantly changed her mind made me literally throw the book across the room. Talking about an 19th century gold digger. 

There were couple of moments in this book which were really boring and I wanted to DNF this book. But I struggled through them and I found myself with positive feedback for this book. Of course  not all polite as you might have seen above but still I gave it a high rating.

A Room of One’s Own is an extended essay by Virginia Woolf. First published on the 24th of October, 1929, the essay was based on a series of lectures she delivered at Newnham College and Girton College, two women’s colleges at Cambridge University in October 1928. While this extended essay in fact employs a fictional narrator and narrative to explore women both as writers and characters in fiction, the manuscript for the delivery of the series of lectures, titled Women and Fiction, and hence the essay, are considered nonfiction. The essay is seen as a feminist text, and is noted in its argument for both a literal and figural space for women writers within a literary tradition dominated by patriarchy.

My first book written by Virginia Woolf and I gotta say that I wasn’t a big fan of this book. This book might be a bad place to start the journey with Virginia Wolf but at least it is a start with her works.

This book is more of are couple of feminist essays than rather a book. But it was a quick read overall. 

I can’t say that it was enjoyable or interesting read for me personally but it was defiantly a read which will give you some ideas on how life was back in the late 20s when this book was first published. 

The writing style was good and super old timey which I personnel love. But I felt like Virginia Woolf could have put a little more effort into it or it might be me who is being very picky. 

In this essays, Virginia Woolf tackled themes about women and fiction and the impact of privilege. Which were interesting to read but not super fun to read. Because to me felt like I was back in middle school and listening to a lecture about a topic I didn’t care about.

Only Sonya, a downtrodden sex worker, can offer the chance of redemption.

Yet again another classic which didn’t work for me. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this classic which it didn’t live up to for me. And I ended up DNF-ing it after having read 73% of it. But hey we don’t have to like all of the books most people finding enjoyable. 

This book was super boring and for me personally it was a punishment to read this book because there was almost nothing I liked about it. Of course there were couple of moments were it was starting to get interesting but then it was killed of on the next page. This happened couple of times and it really pissed me off because I wanted to really like this book and be one of these people who have nothing but good things to say about this book. 

The characters in this book were super annoying and super boring and I really wanted to murder them myself if they were real human beings because I just couldn’t stand them at all.

This book is very it’s repetitive and it basically says the same thing over and over again at least in the English Version I’ve read it in. 

The writing style here was super dry, uninteresting, boring and if I was required to read this book in school I wouldn’t never again pick up a book again because after reading this book I understand why some people hate reading books. 

The premise of this book sounds very interesting but the way it was told and it being mixed with super annoying and super boring character really killed the potential of the plot to this book.  

Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov was such a buzzkill that I wanted to beat the shit out of him because for me personally he was the biggest problem of why I didn’t like this book. The best way to describe him is overthinking maniac.

The biggest problem with this book for me is the way it was written because this book and the characters had the potential to be such a big hit for me but the writing here made it impossible for me to like it.
