“After We Fell” By Anna Todd Review

Just as Tessa makes the biggest decision of her life, everything changes. Revelations about first her family, and then Hardin’s, throw everything they knew before in doubt and makes their hard-won future together more difficult to claim. Tessa’s life begins to come unglued. Nothing is what she thought it was. Not her friends. Not her family. The one person she should be able to rely on, Hardin, is furious when he discovers the massive secret she’s been keeping. And rather than being understanding, he turns to sabotage.

This book is the third book in the “after” series by Anna Todd. To be honest this book took a longer time to read than the previous two books in this series, because I start to get tired of this series, and all the drama between Tessa and Hardin.

I personally feel like im getting close to the point where I’m getting sick of the back and forth drama and fucked up situations between Tessa and Hardin, at this point I’ve read 3 books in this series, and each of those books had over 800 pages in them.

While I was reading this book, I had some many thoughts about why Tessa didn’t leave Hardin at this point? This was the first time it happened to me while reading this series.

The plot in this book, wasn’t the great as the plot in the first and second book in this series, I can honestly say that the series is going down the hill with this book. But this series is far better than “Fifty Shades Of Grey”.

The plot was interesting but at times it was getting very close to the edge of becoming boring.

The characters here were good, but in this book I started having problems with Tessa, because in one moment she says she is done with Hardin and in the next moment she is running back to him. Which is annoying me so very much in this book, because whats so hard to with sticking to what you say.

I found myself liking more and more throughout this book Tessa’s father which came in big into this series at the very end of book two, and he becomes one of the major side characters in this book. Which really was good, because it have taken a lot of drama away from Hardin and Tessa and put it on Tessa’s father.

We also get a huge plot twist from one of the character in this book, which really blow my mind in a way but at the same time I was expecting something like the event which happened to occur but not from the character which it came from.

But still I found myself to be consumed in this book, and read in front to back without any major hesitation.

“Ignite Me” By Tahereh Mafi Review

With Omega Point destroyed, Juliette doesn’t know if the rebels, her friends, or even Adam are alive. But that won’t keep her from trying to take down The Reestablishment once and for all. Now she must rely on Warner, the handsome commander of Sector 45. The one person she never thought she could trust. The same person who saved her life. He promises to help Juliette master her powers and save their dying world . . . but that’s not all he wants with her.

This book is the third book in the “Shatter Me” series, and I need to say it again, Im loving this series more and more, with each book I read in this series.

To be fully honest, this book was an emotional roller coaster, which I loved a lot. There were huge love triangle drama in this book, and Juliette final made a final decision in her love triangle thing going on.

The beginning of this book was slow, but it was very very enjoyable to read. And the further you got in this book the more and more action this book began to have. Which really was very interesting and enjoyable. And while reading this book I lost all track of time because I was so sucked into this book.

The character became even better in this book, and if you compare the characters in this book with the same characters in the first book then you will see the huge character development which every character had got in this series.

The characters here are so unique, and they feel like real human beings, which really made me fall in love with them so much more. The characters in this book have depth, their own thoughts and opinions.

The plot in this book was wow where should I begin with it? There was so much happening in this book, even thou the beginning was slow it was still a lot of things happening there to keep you entrained.

The writing style here was amazing, because it was like the author knew what words to use to grab out attention and to not let it go to the very end.

“Unite Me” By Tahereh Mafi Review

Destroy Me tells the events between Shatter Me and Unravel Me from Warner’s point of view. Even though Juliette shot him in order to escape, Warner can’t stop thinking about her–and he’ll do anything to get her back. But when the Supreme Commander of The Reestablishment arrives, he has much different plans for Juliette. Plans Warner cannot allow. Fracture Me is told from Adam’s perspective and bridges the gap between Unravel Me and Ignite Me. As the Omega Point rebels prepare to fight the Sector 45 soldiers, Adam’s more focused on the safety of Juliette, Kenji, and his brother. The Reestablishment will do anything to crush the resistance… including killing everyone Adam cares about.

This book has two separate books in it which are both Destroy Me and Fracture Me, which I’ve already reviewed few days ago.

This book is really nice because it contains two separate books, which makes you buy just one book instead of two books. Which means you save money and space on the bookshelf.

In my opinion Destroy Me is much better than Fracture Me. Because I found Warner’s perspective is so much better than Adam’s perspective. And because I like Warner much more than Adam.

Fracture Me, wasn’t what I’ve expected even from Adam’s perspective. Because he spend the 2 precious books in this series trying to prove himself to Juliette but when she gets taken by Warner’s father, and Adam’s little brother is in danger at the same time. He just doesn’t give a damn about Juliette and acts like she doesn’t matter anymore. I get it, you go save your little brother and then have the rest of the gang to go after Juliette. But don’t insist on everyone going to save your little brother even thou your group can split in half. But thats just one of my many problems with Adam.

The writing style in both Destroy Me and Fracture Me, is incredible. Ive said it before but im gonna say it again. Tahereh Mafi is an incredible writer. Because its like she knows what words to use to grab our attention and to not let it go before the very end of the book and still making us wanting more.

“Fracture Me” By Tahereh Mafi Review

As Omega Point prepares to launch an all-out assault on The Reestablishment soldiers stationed in Sector 45, Adam’s focus couldn’t be further from the upcoming battle. He’s reeling from his breakup with Juliette, scared for his best friend’s life, and as concerned as ever for his brother James’s safety. And just as Adam begins to wonder if this life is really for him, the alarms sound. It’s time for war.

This book is written from Adam’s perspective. And I need to admit that this book was less fan than the book written from Warner’s perspective. But thats has to do me not liking Adam as much as I like Warner.

After reading this book, I need to say that this book was more about Adam reassuring himself that he can be the hero which Juliette and his little brother needs  than anything else.

Throughout this whole book Adam tries to be the hero for everyone, but still everything goes to shit at the end of this book, which really shows how bad of a hero Adam is.

But still a part of me loved this book a fair share, because we get to know Adam much more and we get to know his thoughts and emotions. But still some of his thoughts about Juliette aren’t the most valiant. Because he more or less wants to control Juliette in a way, always telling her what she should do like choosing him over Warner even do he treats Juliette as shit at times.

There are some additional action we get to know when Juliette is taken by Warner’s father from the battlefield. And we get to see those action going down through Adam’s perspective which is okay for the most part. But if you want me to pick a preferable perspective then I would go with Juliette’s and Warner’s perspectives.

The writing style here is as good as in the previous books in the series, which of course means that the author seems to know what words to use, to fully grab your attention and to not let it go until you finish the book.

“Destroy Me” By Tahereh Mafi Review

Back at the base and recovering from his near-fatal wound, Warner must do everything in his power to keep his soldiers in check and suppress any mention of a rebellion in the sector. Still as obsessed with Juliette as ever, his first priority is to find her, bring her back, and dispose of Adam and Kenji, the two traitors who helped her escape. But when Warner’s father, The Supreme Commander of The Reestablishment, arrives to correct his son’s mistakes, it’s clear that he has much different plans for Juliette. Plans Warner simply cannot allow.

This book is written from Warner’s perspective, and I truly loved it because I loved getting to know him better and get a book in this series from his perspective.

Getting to know Warner and getting a part of the bigger story, from his perspective and to get to know the story from his perspective really made me love this whole series so much more.

In this book we get so much more information about Warner and we get to know his thoughts and feelings that it makes us feel like his very complex character even thou he doesn’t show his feelings to other characters other than when he and Juliette are alone together.

The fact that we get to know Warner’s thoughts and emotions, made me root for him much more, and because of this he just became my favorite character in this whole series. And because of this thoughts and emotions made me relate to him so much, that I cant even put it into words.

If you are a fan of this series, and haven’t read this book yet, then I have one question for you. And the question is what are you doing ? Read this book, because you wont regret it and this book will make you love this series so much more.

The writing style here is incredible. Because even thou we get Warner’s complex thoughts and emotions in this book, they are written in a very easy and simple way which makes us like him so much more.

The writing style shows how amazing writer Tahereh Mafi is, because reading this book felt like she knew what words to use to suck us into the story and to not let us go until the very end.

“Unravel Me” By Tahereh Mafi Review

It should have taken Juliette a single touch to kill Warner. But his mysterious immunity to her deadly power has left her shaken, wondering why her ultimate defense mechanism failed against the person she most needs protection from.

I need to be honest here and say that this series is getting better and better with each book.

This book was much better from the first book in this series, because there is much more action in it, we get to know the characters much better and really the whole plot have really improved from the first book. Because of this increased in the series because of this book, Im having huge expectations for the rest of this series.

Even thou this book has around 460 pages (depending on which edition you get), I read it one day because I just couldn’t pull myself away from this book. Which really shows how interesting, enjoyable and unique this book is and hopefully as the rest of this series is.

The plot in this book is very interesting and it really sucks you into it and doesn’t let you go until the very end. And even when you finish the book you want to pick the next book in this series straight away. Which really shows how good of an author Tahereh Mafi is, and her talent for creating good plots to keep readers engaged and reading her books.

The characters in this book (and series) are super enjoyable and interesting. Because there are sop much personality and depth in them. Each character in this book is very unique and have something which makes us really really like them.

When I review the first book in this series I said that I found Juliette to be really annoying however this book resolves this problem. Because in this book Juliette is not annoying at all, and she became the character which I like the most in this book series so far at least.

However still I have the same problem with her which I had in the first book. Which is that she does nothing and expects everyone to do things for her, even if it is obvious that she can also start doing things and not get annoyed at other character for doing something or not doing something. I really hope that in the rest of this series, it changes.

The writing style here is amazing, its simple and easy even thou there is a lot of happening both action and drama. And the writing style actually makes the drama survivable for me, even thou I normally hate like love triangles in books.

The love triangle in this book isn’t as bad as I had expected it to be, which really made me give this book and the series as a whole some extra points. Because the love triangle here is actually interesting in the aspect of who Juliette will choice in the end between Adam and Warner. (I’m personally rooting for Warner, let me know in the comments who you are rooting for in this love triangle).

“You Should See Me in a Crown” By Leah Johnson Review

Liz Lighty has always believed she’s too black, too poor, too awkward to shine in her small, rich, prom-obsessed midwestern town. But it’s okay — Liz has a plan that will get her out of Campbell, Indiana, forever: attend the uber-elite Pennington College, play in their world-famous orchestra, and become a doctor.

This book is a good example on why you should trust Tik Tok on anything especially on the books topics. Ive seen this book going around on Bok Took since it first came out, and let me be honest with you this book isn’t worth all recommendations which it gets nor is it worth your time or money which you will spend on this book.

The whole book revolves about high school prom, I personally were never a fan of high school proms or high school in general, so of course having the main topic of this book being high school prom wouldn’t go well with me.

The plot in this book was very boring and uninteresting, and at a lot of moment sit was very cringy, as you would expect from a book revolving around high school prom.

The characters in this book were very generic characters, and they felt like the same character because they didn’t have personality or anything which would make them stand out from the rest of the characters.

There was one character which was always around, but still I cant remember who she was or what was her deal with always being around. She was very annoying and sort of a creep because she always there when anything happened at the high school.

All of the characters in this book are also very inconsistently written, that it starts to be funny. Because there were a lot of moments where 2 characters would have this huge fight over something stupid and then in the next sentence they would be best friends and instantly forget about the fight they just had.

All of the character are like 16- 17 years old but they seem like 6 and 7 year olds because they are immature and silly and joking about stupid things all the time.

The writing style here was very horrible, even for a Young adult book. Its hard to explain it because you could see that the author was trying at least to have good writing style but it just didn’t happen here

“Shatter Me” By Tahereh Mafi Review

Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days. The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

I personally have a lot of mixed feelings about this book, because on the one side it is very interesting but on the other side it seems to be pretty generic YA book. Which means that I am torn in half on this book.

This book gave me huge x-men vibes as well as the hunger games vibes which is really intriguing because these two things are different. After reading this book I can say honestly that this book isn’t bad nor good.

The beginning of this book was very intriguing, which really grabbed my attention which of course made me give this some extra points. However the middle part of this book went downhill a little bit. And when we come closer and closer to the end, it becomes more and more disappointing. Because this book builds up to a big and very interesting ending which in my opinion this book doesn’t give us when we get to it.

The writing style here was good, to be honest I didn’t except the writing style to be so good as it was, which on its own made me like this book more. But at the same time the writings style in this book is strange in a way, because you cant explain it but you are left with a weird feeling about it.

When it comes to the main character of this book which is Juliette. I had some issues with her at the beginning of this book, because she had a huge obsession with numbers, but the further I got into this book the more I started to liking her. Its important to say that she isn’t the best character which I came across of. But she is a good character for a ya series.

I personally think that Juliette being the main character adds to the plot. Because there is something unique about her, and the more we get to know her the more we like her and the plot.

The rest of the characters in this book are surprisingly good, which rally surprised me because I cant remember the last time I liked all of the characters in a book. You can really tell that this book has a unique personality which really makes them a likable character even if they are the bad guy of the story.

The plot in this book is not a masterpiece, but it is interesting and enjoyable. If you are looking for a book to read while you cuddle up on the couch or in bed, then this book is the go-to here. The plot isn’t complicated and you don’t really need a lot of brain power to enjoy it.

“After We Collided” By Anna Todd Review

Tessa has everything to lose. Hardin has nothing to lose… except her. Hardin will always be… Hardin. But is he really the deep, thoughtful guy Tessa fell madly in love with despite his angry exterior—or has he been a stranger all along? She wishes she could walk away. It’s just not that easy. Not with the memory of passionate nights spent in his arms. His electric touch. His hungry kisses.

Another book in the After series is finished. And I need to come clean here and say that with each passing book so far in this series I love this series more and more. Which is really strange because when I started reading this series I was expecting to hate it but it being two books deep in this series I love it more and more.

One of the reason why I love this book (and this whole series) is because it feels so real, and not like fiction. Hardin’s and Tessa’s relationship feels like a real life relationship and all of the characters feels like real human beings which is the reason why this book (and whole series so far) has me head over heels for it.

Both Tessa and Hardin gets more depth to them in this book than what they had in the first book. But they also become much more likeable. And you can truly see the changes which happen to them with each passing book in this series.

And the rest of the characters keeps improving from the first book just as Tessa and Hardin did. Which really makes me fall in love with this book (and this whole seres) more and more.

In this book we also get very little of Tessa’s mother which really makes me so glad, because I really hate Tessa’s mother because she is so manipulative and even more toxic than Hardin. And the less we get from Tessa’s mother the more happier I become.

In a way this book is much better than the first book in this series, because this book is the first book which made me cry couple of times which really never happened before.

This book have so many ups and downs that you really lose track of them. But in a way all of these ups and downs we get in this book make this book feel so much as real life which

The writing style in this book is very easy and simple. Which really makes this book to a really quick read even thou this book has around 700 pages which depends on which version of this book you get.

This book is longer than the first book in this series. But the moment you get into it, it just flys by way to quickly. Because you get so sucked into the book that you can’t stop reading it and before you know it you have finished it. So if you loved the first book in this series as much as I did don’t be afraid of the bigger size of this book because it will be a very quick read.

This book is just as addictive as the first book, because even thou I wasn’t reading this book for days at end I couldn’t stop thinking about this book and what would happen next in this book. Which really happens rarely to me when it comes to being addicted to a single book.

This book took me longer time to finish than the first book because I read it slowly because I didn’t want the book to end because it was so fucking perfect.

The ending leaves us on a huge cliffhanger just as the first book did. But this time the cliffhanger doesn’t involve Tessa’s and Hardin’s relationship but something else which is closely related to Tessa.

“The Return: Midnight” By L.J. Smith Review

The devil you know. With the help of charming and devious Damon, Elena rescued her vampire love, Stefan, from the depths of the Dark Dimension. But neither brother returned unscathed. Stefan is weak from his long imprisonment and needs more blood than Elena alone can give him, while a strange magic has turned Damon into a human. Savage and desperate, Damon will do anything to become a vampire again, even travel back to hell. But what will happen when he accidentally takes Bonnie with him?

I need to say that this book is far from the best book in this series. The ending was very good but the rest of the book was much weaker.

Elena, is such a d-bag. She is the most selfish thoughtless character I’ve ever read about (so far at least). There is one point in this book where she gets jealous when Damon takes Bonnie instead of her to a upside down version of the world. Even thou she spent the previous 5 books telling us how much she loves Stefan and how much she hates Damon.

When it comes to Stefan, he would be a very good character if he wasn’t acting like a child who is blind with love for Elena. And makes every possible excuse for her mistakes.

Bonnie is a very weak, helpless and dumb character. She basically is like a 6 year old girl not a teenager.

The only character who is interesting in this entire book is Meredith however we don’t get to learn a lot about her because this book focuses on the love triangle between Elena, Stefan and Damon.

The plot in this book was boring and uninteresting. And after reading this book, I couldn’t believe that this series was the motivation of the TV show which I really enjoyed.

The other thing about this plot is that this book is the 3 book about the gang fighting the kitsune and his sibling.  It’s like this series can’t move past this, and stretches a very boring topic endlessly.

The writing style here was very good, it was easily the best thing about this book, and it played a role in me giving a higher rating than I wanted to.

I Give This Book 2 / 5
